Does anyone have New Venetian Gold and Tumbled Marble Backsplash?
Comments (18)Thanks very much for that photo, monkeyjac. Wow, that is an amazing job they did with your seam. In my case the sink is centered on the island, with the widest part of the arch across from the sink and facing the family room directly. If I knew for sure that it would look like yours, I would have no concerns! This has actually been my hardest decision. I have come to think something like NVG could work best in my kitchen for a number of reasons. Not only does it complement both of my cabinet colors but I feel that as much as I love the movement granites, too much in a large space could easily overwhelm (there's a desk and bar area I'm covering, too). Thats something that my KD has cautioned me about as well and he loves granite with movement. Also looks like you put in the exact Artisan sink I'm considering. I'm between this or the Ticor. PS Sorry for all the typos in the earlier post - it was late!...See MoreAnyone have cherry stained cabinets w/ new venetian gold granite?
Comments (19)Ok Guys, I went back to the design center today and here are some new choices: Tumbled Marble Subway Tile Emperador Brown: The tumbled marble also comes in 4"X4". OR Tumbled travertine 4"X4" Chocolate color: I emailed the designer to ask of the trvertine came in subway tiles, too. Hopefully, she will get back to me soon. My pics of the floor tile did not come out great this time, but here is is with two different carpet choices (in the design center it was almost identical to the carpet on the right, but in the pic it looks identical to the carpet on the left!): Also, I came across this REALLY pretty mosiac tile (I have NO idea how much any of this costs, I've put in an email to the designer to see!). I was thinking of getting one of the 4"X4" tiles (either the marble or the travertine) as the backsplash and then having them put one of these mosaic tiles centered over the stove cooktop. What do you guys think? Here's a pic of the mosaic tile: If the mosaic is too expensive, then I think I may go with subway tiles for the backsplash. I think the subway tiles would look wierd with the mosaic. Let me know what you guys think! You have been really helpful so far! Thanks so much!...See MoreNeed Help Choosing Backsplash & Sink For New Venetian Gold Granit
Comments (7)Without seeing the slab it's hard to know for sure but here's one from Jeffrey Court's Antico Portugese line color Country Gray: These are kinda cool. I know nothing about the pricing. These are cement mosaic tiles by Villa Lagoon Tile. The colors are complements to Sherman Williams colors. I like the Pearl Gray below. It's a match to SW Mindful Gray. Last one for now, a more traditional 6x6 Italian Tile: This was from http://www.ceramic-tile4u.com/ . Budget tile too at $4.04 sq. ft. It was their Arpa Star tile in gray. That site has HUNDREDS of tiles to look at. May be WAY time consuming but worth a look. Good luck!...See MoreBacksplash Material for New Venetian Gold Granite
Comments (9)I have new venetian gold and selected tumbled stone for the backsplash in a chiaro color. You can see it in my thread entitled "Finally Finished (Well Almost)". Because New Venetian gold is pretty neutral, I think there are lots of styles/colors of tile that would look nice. I didn't want anything too dark or brown because MY cabinets are more mid tone and I didn't want the backsplash to look cave-like (I think the brown glass tile looks nice with jackiemcg's cabs but would have seemed very dark with mine)....See MoreMatina Dan
