Remodeling Design Dilemma Kitchens

Backsplash update

A few days ago I posted about backsplash advice but I couldn't show you guys the kitchen itself. Now I've adjusted an image that is pretty close to what the kitchen looks like. That's the right paint colors for the cabinets and the countertops is Alexandtrita quartzite. I'm attaching a jpg of the paint color on the walls around the kitchen that are not visible here.

My wife and I are either thinking white tile, or a color that matches that paint around the kitchen. Thoughts?

I’m giving this a bump because I hope someone can offer you help with that gorgegous countertop and wonderful green cabinets.

Maybe you can add the countertop slab photo here, too.

It’s so refreshing to see a kitchen with color. I don’t have any suggestions for you but I’d like to see what others can suggest.

any chance of getting an actual pic of the countertop and colors of cabs? that small picture isn't helping

Unfortunately it resolves pink on my monitor. This is the bottom line: Did you go, "Ah HA! That's IT!"? I think it's pretty. Think inches vs. rows and it might help you decide. A medium band would be interesting. I like your colors.

WOW I am so glad you chose the tan grout. I think it is perfect to tie all the colors together and still not be too dark. I love your back splash. I just can not believe you have never done this before. It looks like you have already had years of practice. You certainly have a knack for putting colors and patterns together. Had to come look again, MM. I feel like SHADES on not wanting a good thing to end. I get such a let down after a successful project - uh - those are the ones I don't want to throw in the trash after smashing w/a hammer, and I feel a let down coming on today after grouting my cross. I've had a few successes recently that I'm happy with. I REALLY love your backsplash. Truly a traditional mosaic.

By brick tile do you mean brick/subway in the sagey or celadon color.” Yes? ;) Actually I was thinking of a terra-cotta brick tile glazed in a celadon or silver sage so you wouldn’t really see it as being a terra-cotta tile. Know what I mean? I’m kind of headachey at the moment so I’ll show rather than tell—sort of. Here, look at this website:Clé tile glazed terra-cotta tile Glass is also lovely in a grey/green/blue. Regarding the Ubatuba: I think it gets a bad rap as being basic, but, it’s really very beautiful and very versatile. stick w a white backsplash. looks like light celery wall cabs / kelly green base cabs and camel? beige walls? the cabinet colors would suggest a refreshing white of some sort. both for tiles and painted walls. I dont get the pick of the camel walls I guess is my question in all this. so if thats staying I would just go to white tiles.
