Backsplash - yes or no?
Comments (16)Cottonpenny- would you consider a stone beveled edge subway tile that picks up the color of the veining in your Torquay? I can't find a picture on line but I know I saw a sample at our local dealer and I can send a picture tomorrow. Where did you find your sample of the pillow edge marble subway- it is beautiful and might work with our soapstone counters. Sorry to ask when it doesn't work well with your counters...hope that's ok! I promise to post that pic of the stone if it's something you think might work....See MoreIkea Ekbacken as sheet backsplash
Comments (3)People use granite and quartz for backsplashes pretty frequently -- I think they're getting a thick slab for those too. I don't know how it's handled, but I'm sure that a good contractor who's done it before will know....See MoreBacksplash Yes/No? How?
Comments (6)I would actually take the backsplash up to the bottom of the hood, and then use that line to run the backsplash around to the other wall (all the way to the door and down that bit of wall next to where your cabinet ends). The down side to doing it this way is that it will involve a lot of cuts near the door. Your kitchen is gorgeous, and you already have so many lovely elements, so I would keep the backsplash simple. Perhaps a glass tile in a light neutral that goes with your counter, walls, and trim....See MoreBacksplash yes or no?
