design dilemma. SW natural choice paint coordinating colors?
Hi everyone,
I bought an old 1973 condo with gold countertops with some grey and black in it(2nd photo is best representative of true color). below are original photos.
I am thinking of painting my walls SW 7011 natural choice(not shown on this picture) as it appears warm in my north facing kitchen( I painted it in the living room and rest of the home and it is beautiful). the rest of the home is floor to celing windows and west facing except the end of the living room which is northwest facing at the far end).
Natural choice looks warm/brown throughout the home but in the kitchen(only northern exposure), looks a little more on the grey side but still beautiful. My dilemma is my spouse won't let me change the goldy granite countertops for 5 years when we retire.
I am looking at sw greek villa, alabaster and pure white as options to paint the north facing kitchen ceiling and adjacent breakfast nook.
Can anyone give suggestions on which of these three you would recommend; or does anyone have other suggestions?
With NW exposure, the rest of the home is shady with blue grey cast until the sun comes around in San diego around 2pm. And the kitchen is the same until around 4pm.

Comments (5)Yup, those cabinets look just like mine.... such a hard tone to work with, especially in the cool colors. Even in the warm colors, which is what I have, it still brings out the orange as the statement color in my kitchen. It doesnt help that I have yellow walls.... so paint color will be my first remodel. I found two pictures on houzz that show orange toned cabinets with the white quartz or granite countertops. Comments (6)yvonnecmartin Sorry, the room with the wallpaper above the chair rail and all the furniture is my dining room. I painted Sherwin Williams Sundew below the chair rail (although my pics may not be the best) and didn't move furniture back due to not knowing what I should do next with my paint dilemma. The Sundew color is not bad in the Living Room on a cloudy day and probably would look better when furniture is moved back. Comments (14)We just got BM Nature's Essentials to replace SW Softer Tan. Accessible Beige was too gray for our BM Alexandria Beige cabinets. Love Nature's Essentials so far! last yearHi, Rob. Here are a few pictures. The living area is all southern and eastern exposure. The bathroom shot is my only window in our house with northern exposure. I do think the Natural Choice looks warm with northern exposure, as well. Warm, but not yellowy warm.
