HELP! Do twin entry way tables need to be decorated exactly the same?
Comments (66)Yes, I did read the same thing after your last post. So that particular mirror may be slightly off in width if my math is correct. Good thing about the quatrefoil mirrors, if that is what you chose, you can most likely find another that is wider. I would take some newspaper or something else and cut out a paper version of the mirror in those same measurments. Tape it up with some painter's tape in the space to help you visualize....See MoreWhat would you do in this entry way?
Comments (25)Your home looks lovely and those floors are incredible. You must be in the northeast. The trick with this space is the scaling of the furniture. That's why I love telephone tables. Here is one I found on craigslist with perfect dimensions 29"wide x 19"deep x 32"high. These are great little pieces and enormously practical. With that being 19"deep, you have 45" side to side to work in the console. Go for something 10" deep and as long as you feel is the right length. Console bases can be made from anything and tops in wood/glass/stone. In your space, consider a mirror as large as possible to open it up. Carefully curating everything is the key for a well designed small space. I posted this pic to show you that even with many items in an entrance, it works and still looks open. I personally like classic contemporary, but layering interesting items looks welcoming and exciting....See MoreNeed help with a small entry way. Need help with small entry way
Comments (7)I don't mind the table and mirror and can't really think of anything besides art that would fit on that wall. Can't see the table details well but could it be painted? How about red to match your lovely door? What would say "fresh and cozy" to you for that space? Have you thought of a new light fixture? A runner and a larger rug in the entrance could look good. I don't find the clock visible from the door to be welcoming so I'd be tempted to remove it....See MoreWhat should we do to finish this concrete entry way
Comments (0)We have a contemporary house, the entry and steps and the patio/deck are concrete. We would like it to match the house style, but the finish is terrible, uneven and not square/plumbed. (See phots). What would be the best way to re-finish it? (We are in Northern California, so no freeze problems.) Thanks in advance for all suggestions. Mimi...See MoreLynzy
