Hi All! I am looking for ideas and suggestions on ways to make my very small entry way more inviting. The main entryway itself it approximately 5' x 8'. I was thinking of incorporating an area rug (maybe 4x6), and replacing table/mirror/flowers with something fresh and cozy. There is a little nook where the table currently sits. The area is 10" deep and 27 1/2" wide. I would love your help, idea and suggestions. Thanks in advance.

5 years agoRemoving the carpet from the stairs would be a big help! Try a simple floating shelf with art or mirror on that little wall. The art in the hallway is too high. Center it 5' above the floor and hang the pieces one frame's width apart. If they were more interesting subject matter, you could hang them vertically in place of that table and mirror but they look too dull and bland.

Measure carefully before deciding. Depending upon the pattern, wallpaper could end up just making a calm space just look "busy" without adding interest to the space. I will be keeping the same style entry table, but I am open to purchasing the 70 inch version if the mirror I ultimately select calls for a slightly larger console. I really do like the vertical looks vs hanging horizontal, so I will be looking for new mirrors that better suit the table. I also like the idea of adding scones, but will need to hire someone for electrical work and I will wait on that. I love the formal living room mock up! My table is similar except it’s all glass, so I’ll see how it works once it gets delivered. I also like the idea of adding a lamp to the corner and I the linen drapes on black rods. Comments (4)Make sure bench id high ebough and deep enough that an adult would be comfortable siiting on to change shoes, boots, etc. Hools to the side of the bench so a hanging coat or jacket would not interfere with seated area. 5 years agoI think you could keep the mirror and do a floating shelf. It's the table that is off (along with the flowers). Get a bigger rug at front door so when visitors step in there is lots of room to stand on the rug.
Maybe something with red in it (front door) color.
