Console Table Behind Sofa
Comments (9)Lolaren - Your room is very pretty. I don't see any lamps. I would put two lamps on your table and remove the benches. I think the white benches are too stark against all the dark colors. Maybe have them refinished in a complimenting color pulled from your room. I would also just put 1 small stack of books and maybe a pretty bowl, platter, candle holder(s) I guess I'm suggesting decorative accessories for on your table. I'm thinking the height you have is what I need for mine. I can't put risers on the bottom as the legs aren't perfectly straight. Also, I don't mind getting a new table. My other pieces are washed w/goldish trim and also some mirrored pieces. My current table is a fruitwood color so it doesn't go well now. Check out houzz.com and just type in console table behind sofa and lots of picutres come up....See Morehelp finding a console table for an odd space
Comments (8)We had a similar situation and wanted to hide all of our electrical cords, so purchased an Ashley Furniture Glen Eagle Accent Cabinet that worked beautifully. You can "Google" and see what it looks like. (I had trouble posting the pic.) Even though Ashley Furniture is not considered by many to be one of your better furniture dealers, for something like this, that you are going to use for storage and to house your cell phone chargers, etc., this is perfect. And it really is a nice-looking piece that complements our other furniture. I can't remember exactly what we paid for it, but it was around $300, has lots of storage space. If that doesn't interest you, Overstock.com has a wide array of accent tables and consoles, many for $200 or less, and you can't beat their shipping charge of $2.95. Good luck!...See MoreWhat have you used besides console table behind floating sofa?
Comments (4)How about bookshelves? Handy for just about anything! Vintage bar? Art deco? Or for a dash of modern -- how about those silver metal kitchen-type shelves? Or a trio of tall vases or baskets? Or a pair of vintage standing lamps? Or one or two of those flower or garden "flowerboxes" that come with a trellis backing? Or a folding screen? Made of trellis? Fabric? or a shoji-type paper screen? or louver-type doors? or solid core doors with full-length mirrors on each one? Just some thoughts! Comments (5)To start, pull your dining table away from the wall a bit as it’s too crunched up. Why is your sofa in the middle of the room? Push that back against the wall, get an upholstered chair, coffee table (round to break up all the vertical lines in your space) and rug (rectangular). Or you could place a sofa table with some lamps behind the sofa (but still push the sofa back toward the wall). Next to the sofa you will have room for something to contain your shoes. Get something tall like a bench with storage and hooks since this will double as your entryway. Also, how about some art for your walls?...See Moreangela franz
