Lolaren - Your room is very pretty. I don't see any lamps. I would put two lamps on your table and remove the benches. I think the white benches are too stark against all the dark colors. Maybe have them refinished in a complimenting color pulled from your room. I would also just put 1 small stack of books and maybe a pretty bowl, platter, candle holder(s) I guess I'm suggesting decorative accessories for on your table. I'm thinking the height you have is what I need for mine. I can't put risers on the bottom as the legs aren't perfectly straight. Also, I don't mind getting a new table. My other pieces are washed w/goldish trim and also some mirrored pieces. My current table is a fruitwood color so it doesn't go well now. i prefer the look with the table off the rug... if i wanted floor outlets for lamps on the table, i would probably want them positioned under the sofa anyway unless the table is behind the couch and against a wall... the lamps look very pretty in your 2nd picture, but they obviously have worked pretty hard to hide the cords!!

Thanks everyone. I had seen the Ballards console but it’s 72” and the back of my sofa is 75”. Would this work? I like that it’s not deep because I need to keep the depth under 14”. I haven’t thought about what would go on it yet, but that’s something to consider. Probably nothing breakable though because I walk past it so often I’m afraid I would knock something off. The blue chairs normally are further back towards the short wall with the columns. I hardly ever use the living room sliders to access the lanai. The ones in the great room are much more accessible and also easier to open and close. Mjlb - I like the idea of a throw over the sofa. I have some although not the right color. I will see how that looks. Certainly less expensive than a console😊
