I’m planning on painting the fascia and soffit dark brown to match the garage doors and wood accents. I’m leaning heavily toward SW Shoji for stucco or SW Accessible Beige. I’ll most likely use SW Van Dyke Brown for fascia and soffit.

I would go with warm off-white

You could have the grout/mortar brightened to the white you want to use for the stucco.

warm white w/a dark trim in an expresso color or a dark bronze for the fascia and trim. I'd post the colors for you, but houzz is doing who knows what w/this site. can't upload pics.

check back and see if they load.

for instance, navajo white SW Aged White, Swiss Coffee, Alabaster (for the whites) and something like SW Protege Bronze, Superior Bronze, Urbane Bronze, or BM Wrought Iron, might be a good combo.

look at Antique White, Whole Wheat and a nice bluish color called Refuge and Sleepy Blue. all of these are SW. If going w/that, I would mortar wash your stone. these colors would look nice w/the terra cotta.

you could use Romabio over that stone to tone it down. somewhat of a limewash or mortar wash over it. you can look at pics of that if you like. Romabio has an example where they limed over similar looking stone.

I would not change the color of your stone if you're wanting a traditional Spanish feel. Leave it organic and natural.

I didn't mean to actually change the color, just dilute it a bit. Those current stone colors aren't that traditional to a spanish home. not that type of stone. that's more of a builder addition. muting the stone so that the colors are NOT so vibrant and in your face, would be a good thing.

@decoenthusiaste, I like the idea of lightening the grout. How is that done? I have thought about doing a German smear over the stone and even had a small sample done to test it, but it didn’t feel right to the Spanish style I am trying to achieve.

Also, I literally have 20 different white samples. 🤪 the one I like the most is shoji white by Sherwin Williams. Has anyone used it for an exterior?

@Jinx I LOVE that house!!! I wish I knew which white they used. 🤔 I’m just nervous about how the grout will look next to the white. This is my sample with shoji (which is one of the creamier (less white) samples I have. The other color is accessible beige.

WO, the schmear needs to be a little heavier.

Here,,,I did a quick photoshop w/the stone (I photoshopped another stone that is washed a bit lighter) and picked two main colors. the cajun color could be pottery or the front door. also gave you wrought iron lantern light for the garage.

here's the combo. if you go to colorsnap app, you can upload your home and punch in these colors.

this is what I had in mind for muting the stone.

Schmear- you don't have to go this heavy, but if you did this, then you could copy the stucco color that they have. I've posted some others too.

So imagine doing one of those options above w/your stone, and pairing it w/one of these white stucco colors and darker trim shades:

I have a similar style home and chose Swiss Coffee and Wrought Iron. I have a charcoal spanish style color roof tile. But your terra cotta would look lovely w/this duo. I would suggest doing some iron hardware for your garage door and new lights.

if you like the blue/green accent color (see below) This stone has more of a german schmear

more warmer tones showing through. go w/the bronze accent colors if you like this.

OR, try the romabio classico lime wash.

Diff style house, but look at the stone portion. imagine that on yours, muted like this, along w/the white and dark trim tones.

I did find one home w/some similar stone out front.

This is exactly what I mean by muted the stone color w/the romabio. or a mortar wash. If you use the Swiss Coffee or Cotten White (colors below) You'll get this look on the stucco.

The softer white, darker bronze/chocolate trim, copper accents, and a blue/gray/green accents color (plants, ceramic pottery, front door color, etc)

the blue/green shades. if you like, just accent w/this blue shade. maybe the door, or on the trim

Thank you for all of the ideas. I greatly appreciate them. I am definitely painting the fascia and soffit dark brown. I’m leaving all of the wood accents (including garage doors) bc I love them. I think I will go with shoji or creamy for the stucco. I have heard great things about Swiss coffee. I’m just a SW fan bc I live on the color snap app. 😬 I’m going to paint the stucco first and if I don’t love the stone, I can always German smear it or limewash it later.
I’m still open to any must do warm white suggestions. 🤍

There are tints and stains that can be used on mortar. I would check with Romabio. They specialize in changing masonry and should have solutions.
