Option 5 is probably my favorite... I need to see the whole picture (floor) though for better context. My brain works best to shift spaces). But, I am going to point you in the direction of a number of houses by a local designer here (in WA state). They design for a narrow lot with 3 garages (tandem style). You might get some inspiration from them. The homes I've been in from this designer are very livable... When you view this plan at this site, you can choose "view other plans by this designer" and you'll see a few variations of the entry from a 3 car tandem design on a narrow home... Also, I think you'll get more help if you start a new thread with your specific questions. With your eat-in kitchen and the window ledge seat (for when you have company) I would reconfigure the island without seating. Make it double deep for storage/oven/prepsink and maybe make it 4' x 5 1/2' size. Get some cardboard and mock up different sizes and locations and see what works for you. Keep aisle widths in mind at all times. The fridge - I have a 36" counter depth fridge which I really like but my kids are almost gone. With a young and maybe growing family I would be tempted to use a normal depth fridge (with french doors - saves on crowding the aisles) and use the place where fridge drawers would have gone as storage for kitchen stuff. That's just my opinion on that. You and your wife know the look you want and how full your fridge is now etc. The counter depth fridges definitely hold less. Are you going to extend your counter run and upper cabinets to be closer to the larger window? If you downsized your sink to a 33" single bowl (with a prep sink in the island) and then extended your cabinet run by 9" you would gain 12" of counter and cabinets. If you think about extending that cabinet run don't go out too far towards the window because you don;t want to create a pinch point between corner of the counter and your table. Your point #6 - I think it would depend on whether or not that corner is going to be become a focal point. I would, aesthetically, like to see the cabinets squared off because I think it would feel more spacious, and if you do a tile backsplash you could run the tile right up to the top. If the closet stays as a pantry and the doors stay, I wouldn't put the wine cooler in it -- they give off heat and the last thing you want in a pantry is heat! Pantries should be cool and dry. It would be even worse with 6-panel doors instead of louvered doors (which provide some ventilation for your pantry.) Could we see where the pantry closet is in relation to the Kitchen and the rest of the house? Is it in a layout thread somewhere? (I'll look.) I'll be honest - I kind of like the idea, but only if it's located where it would be functional. You say it's b/w the Kitchen & DR...it may actually work in that location, but I'd have to see it. ETA: I didn't see a "final" design, but I did find your first draft. I don't think that location would work for a MW. It might for a wine cooler, but not the MW.

Doors... With pocket doors, you need room inside the wall to fit the door and its frame without running into any other things in the wall or where two walls join. So, if you have a 36" pocket door, the interior of the wall it fits into will need to be at least that wide, if not a bit more. Outlet boxes and light switches embedded in the wall may be an issue. Barn doors only need the space on the outside. It doesn't matter if there's a wall join internally as long as the outside wall is wide enough to accommodate the door when open. The hardware is on the outside as well. I don't know how the hardware looks, but you could probably hide with a valence of some kind. You probably don't want an outlet or light switch on the wall the barn door covers when open. With bi-fold doors, think about how far out they will stick when open and be sure you have enough room to move around them. To determine the space they will take up, divide the total width by 4 and that will give you how far out the doors will project from the wall. If you recess the doors a few inches, those few inches will reduce the amount the doors will stick out into the room by the same amount.
