I have plenty, so many lurking in the back of my dresser drawer that I lost count.

I wind up wearing the same couple over and over, and I replace them when they're worn out. I'm fortunate that I can wear pull-on style bralettes and don't need a lot of support.

Since I seldom wear one, they last a long time. I think I have 4 and 1 sports bra. I quit wearing bras at least 20 years ago. The last 2, I bought about a year ago at a yard sale. One before that I bought because it was recommended here. Can't remember what it was... Warner, maybe. And I think I had one before that. My breasts are dense and don't sag much, so you really can't tell if I am wearing one or not.

I buy bras pretty regularly. My rule is one bra per two pairs of underwear. I have about a dozen, not counting sports bras, and strapless ones. I have never had a bra wear out, though. I wear a 36 B. The game changer for me and bras was finding a brand which fit me perfectly. Apparently my breasts are spcaed a bit far apart and I detested how bras felt before.

When they start going funny. Bent wire or poking, stretch done too much strech, fraying, cups that don't want to be a proper boob anymore, straps not being strappy anymore and just become uncomfortable- or anything that wears them out for discomfort or their function. I keep several proper bras for public wearing and dress, but usually sports bras, tanks, braletts, and often commando when at home. I have the good fortune of being a little lovely, so I can get away with it. Also fortunate in that I can usually find replacements pretty much anywhere when I need to.

Like carol said. I have a drawer full. All look great. But I have my favorites....and only wear those. I'm wearing the new ones, the strappy sports bras, I purchased late last Summer.

Let me tell you ladies, at 25 big boobs are an asset, mid 50s, not so much!

I have eight bras and need support (34DD Bali lace underwire). Two are more than two years old. I accumulate four or five, then soak them all in Woolite and rinse well. They drip dry overnignt. They last a long time this way. I also buy a bit 'tight' and use the loosest set of hooks and eyes, then work back to tightest fit as they stretch out. I even have two bras that are 32DD and use them with an extender in an emergency. (I was underweight when I bought those, and the fitter was inexperienced.)

I have 6 from Soma, 3 of them I wear most of the time because the others aren't as comfortable. I don't buy them very often because they seem to last for years.

The girls are not big enough to wear a bra. I have to say the last time I bought one was when I was 17 so that was 60 years ago.

I stock up on a brand that I like and actually works for me. Good thing, because Simply Be went out of business last year or year before(?). They were a UK site. I think I have at least three new/never worn ones in the drawer still. I rotate five right now.

I will wear them they until they become too frayed and stretched. I used to try and sew the ends where the wires would poke out but it never lasted long, so now I just pull the wire out and wear the bra anyway - sometimes with one cup with wire the other without! lol That's how much I like the overall fit.

I currently have 5, wearing each 3 or 4 days before throwing one in the wash and getting another. I wash them on the "handwashing" cycle of my FL washing machine, and laying them out to dry. Mine are Prima Donna, and I toss them in textile recycling when they are overstretched and no longer as supportive - that's usually every 3 or 4 years. My bras all have different ages, because I buy them when there's a sale, always keeping my total number at 3-5.

I started wearing this brand about 10 years ago, and they're the most comfortable and give the best looking results (support, form) than others I've worn over the years. I can't believe I have $1000 in bras sitting in my dresser, but I wear bras 15 hours a day, so I guess it makes sense to buy the good quality ones that work for me (plus sized).

I have 10-15. I buy them when the ones I have start to wear out, or if I gain or lose enough weight to make a difference in the band size. I wash after 1 wear, because I walk for exercise in them. Alone when I am at work, with a sports bra to help when I am at home on my treadmill. If I do not do intentionally exercise I am sweating in the garden or scrubbing the house or bathing all the dogs or SOMETHING that would make me want to wash my bra before I wear it again.

I wash them with my other clothes, in a lingerie bag. They last for a year or 2.

I like Ambrelle brand. I used to like Victoria's Secret, but I "grew" out of them a long time ago.

Am I the only person whose bras are all cotton? They last forever as a result. While it's true I buy a bunch and rotate, I machine wash and tumble dry after wearing the bra once.

I have this bra (Bahia by Aubade) in many colorways. No babying it. My oldest one is probably 10 years old and looks just fine.

I prefer all or mostly cotton bras when I can get them Zalco.

Not enough support for me, which is probably why most cotton bras don't come in my size ;) Almost everything I wear is all cotton, if I can manage it (which isn't easy in these days of spandex and lycra), but my bras are not.

By the way, that bra isn't all cotton (I went to look it up to see what sizes it comes in, and I saw the materials section).

TV, the front and the back are 92 percent cotton, the tiny lining is polyester netting and the embroidery is half and half. The body of the bra is cotton for all intents and purposes.

To answer your original question - not often enough. I don't enjoy shopping for clothes in general and absolutely detest shopping for bras. My favorite was discontinued, my size has changed and I really think I should get fitted.

Bra shopping, no other hell on earth. Sizing isn't consistent; even with the same brand.

I buy Warners in a box, but I found some on the rack at Walmart that are very very comfortable. Not the t-shirt bras, anytime I tried them I had major side-boob. I'm not sure how people wear them. These are called Blissful Benefits by Warner. But they're discontinued.

I have about 7-8, some are more comfortable than others for sure. They're the ones I wear when the others are in the laundry. I wash mine in a mesh bag with my whites.

92% cotton is not an all cotton bra. It's a cotton blend- and it's heavily embroidered in 47% poly and has a 100% poly lining. It's a vey pretty bra, but not a for all intents and purpouses cotton body bra. That small amount of elastane makes a huge difference, like the small amount of spandex in the blend turns all cotton jeans into stretchy jeans. It might not seem like much, but the blending makes a big difference to the end material.

There are all cotton bras out there. All linen too. Not as common as the blends, but they can be found. Some people are sensitive and really can't wear even an 8% synthetic blend or 100% synthetic lining. Bamboo and hemp are becoming more popular fabrics, but most of those are natural/synth belends and not many 100%. Something I find really funny are the organic cotton bras that have synthetic blended into them- it is a bit akin to adding synthetic flavorings to your organic yogurt, lol.

I have no idea what TV says or why that should mean anything... but even the company that makes the bra isn't trying to call it a cotton bra. They do boast the comfortable cotton content, but are also up front about the synthetic content and components. Manufactuers have the thresholds of purity there, because a lot of consumers want to know what is in what they are wearing, and what they are paying for. Just like they want to know what's in their food, or being added to their gardens/fields, or used in working on their homes. Like when folks think quartz is stone for all intents and purpouses- but it isn't- its stone and plastic blend- and manufacturing standards are in place so people aren't scammed thinking they are getting quartzite, which is all stone. Velveeta isn't cheese, it's a cheese product.

Fabric manufacturing is the same way- industry standards. For some folks it does not matter much, and for others it matters a lot. Sometimes it's for non-physical reasons, sometimes for more physical ones. Like that bra could make a sensitive person break out in a rash, scaling, hives wearing it because it's not al all cotton bra. What an awful allergy to have considering how much synthetics are in a lot of clothing now. Some people have sensitivities to chemicals of fabric manufacturing like formaldehyde used in anti-wrinkle and a lot of proofings, or some dyes can trigger it. Some folks have issues with nickel- it's commonly used for studs on jeans and used in bra hooks and wires. Those folks have to find bras that are nickle-free. It's often not disclosed on labels or by manufacturers- yet.

TGIF -- Thank G-d I'm Flat! I didn't appreciate it when I was younger, but now I'm so happy I don't have to wear those torture devices. I call it having a sports car bustline -- small and sleek with tight suspension. I'll wear a camisole if there's a see-through situation. I'd probably look sexier if I wore a bra. But I'd look sexier if I wore 5" heels all day, and I'm not going to do that either.

Judidupi, as someone who eschewed bra wearing throughout my teens and 20s it turns out going braless is super good for your pectoral muscles and at 53 I don't ** need ** to wear a bra unless I want to ;-) So yup, there are advantages to being on the small side!

Ha! Well said! I so wanted to have small breasts when I was in my 20s and 30s - to be able to wear spaghetti strap tops and dresses without needing a strapless bra. Alas, I have my mother's bustline. They're not "torture devices" though, at least not proper ones (i.e. not strapless bras), and not for those of us who have large breasts -- wearing one during the waking hours is much more comfortable than not wearing one.

Judidupi and Zalco, I too am flat chested and happily wear a bra only rarely, for “special” occasions. I do always wear a cami, and love Uniqlo for these, but I don’t like their bras.

I only wear the pullover stretch bras now. Hanes Cozy bras. They are not very supportive, but they do work for me. They are comfortable at least. I have about 8 of them. I just ordered one this week from NY lingerie (online) they have great prices and free shipping. I don't think I've had to replace any in 10 years unless they get too small, or I get too big!
