Paint too dark for room? (Naval sherwin williams)
Comments (5)Umm.... pick a different brand of paint if you don't like the SW colors. Gotta say the grey with a deep blue is going to be really dim, dark and depressing in the room. The creamy color look better with the blues. Navy is going to be very dark -look almost black in low light. Try looking for a deep teal blue. I never use the SW or even Benjie Moore -- stick with the same paint company my family has used for over 150 years. They specialize in the historic colors - company has been in business for 200 years (oldest paint maker in the US) If I had to suggest a blue color, I would say Old Village Paint Rittenhouse Blue or Cabinet Maker's Blue. You can locate the company - Old Village Paint. They make an oil, a buttermilk finish and a latex. Their lightest color will cover anything in one coat. Stuff holds up for years - basically bullet proof. You use less of it - I just did 912 sq ft and only used 2 gallons (they say 400 sq ft/ gal) and it only takes 1 coat....See MoreWhole house color scheme using Sherwin Williams paint
Comments (1)A local consult from a designer will be the best money you spend on the project. Colors need to be chosen in the light that they will be viewed, and with the phish all samples of the products right there in front of you. You cannot choose colors online....See MoreSherwin Williams wall color for north facing kitchen and living
Comments (15)That’s exactly what I’m looking for-warmth without going yellow. I’m sure you’ve read about the northern light adding a chilling effect to the room. What’s the reason for not using BM? My contractor said they prefer BM but would be willing to use a different brand if we wanted to, and I am having a hard time selecting the main color in BM (I have tons of sample paint already). SW has paint consultants that charge you to come out and help select your paint colors and then reduce that charge when you buy the paint. I haven’t heard of that with BM so I am trying to hire a paint consultant to help me. Or hiring an SW consultant and just have them match the BM paint to an SW color. Paint is a big decision! I’m putting in a white oak flooring as well....See MoreSunroom painted Sea Salt by Sherwin Williams - need coordinating color
Comments (16)Was thinking pattern on the rattan chair/ottoman and solid grey on the daybed with pops of pillows of the same colors as in the fabric...orange, teal, etc...different shapes and sizes on the daybed...or I could reverse the two...since the main thing your eye will see from the kitchen/living room is the daybed......See MoreGina Thibodeau-Downs
