I always thought brush washes were quite a bit smaller than that. I google imaged "famille rose fish bowl" there are quite a few on there, but I couldn't find one like yours. Do you have an antiques dealer or auction house that deals in Asian Antiques near to you? Truly good Asian antiques are doing really well right now, so it would be a good time to figure it out. Sometimes it takes a long time to figure out exactly what you have. I have a vase that I've had for a number of years, every once in a while I try to do some more research. Comparing IKEA to Lee is not a fair comparison. Lee sofas are my favorite brand stylisitically, but they are very pricey -- around here they are more expensive than PB. IKEA sofas are dirt cheap. I've owned several and some hold up better than others. Right now, we have the Karlstad line of sofas in our basement - a corner sectional and a loveseat. Both are going on 2 years old and still look brand new in spite of being in my kids playroom where they serve as trampolines and forts just as often as are sofas. But I owned a different IKEA sofa (the Ekeskog) where the cushions slid off the thing every time someone sat on it. They are also suprisingly comfy -- some IKEA sofas are not, so I would recommend sit-testing something in person before buying. If you want to go IKEA, I'd stay with a darker color (to avoid staining). I wouldn't count on washing the slips regularly because they can be a pain to get on and off and they can shrink. The upside is that IKEA tends to keep the same styles forever, so if your cover gets dirty (or you're just in the mood for a change), you can buy a new one for not a whole lot of money. If you've got the money for Lee, it's definitely a better sofa, but for a the size sectional I have in the basement, you are looking at $800ish for IKEA vs. at least $4K for Lee. Even if the IKEA one dies and I have to replace it, I can do so 4 times before approaching the cost of the Lee.

This furniture is wood chips compressed with glue, with a slap of cheap stain on top. It's awful given how much the pieces cost and how long you have to wait to have them delivered. The upholstered pieces don't hold up to real life either. I've also experienced dye fading in expensive PB towels and bathmats with the very first wash, while using a mild detergent like Cheer to protect the colors. The spots never stop appearing. Pottery Barn would not even consider taking them back. So I buy all household textiles elsewhere. Walmart has better quality towels. We shall see how these retailers fair in the next year or so, as the economy is changing rapidly, and how responsive they are to customers when there are fewer of them.

After much back and forth over many months, I was sent new cushions. Honestly, they're not much better. The fabric still wets out, water gets under the cover and soaks into the cushion, and is stained by anything that touches it. The inside of the fabric does have a coating on it that should theoretically keep water from soaking through, but it is seemingly ineffective. Perhaps they've assumed that because there is an inner coating, there is no need for any sort of water/stain repellent on the outside? Another issue seems to be the stitching that is supposed to prevent water for getting through the seams isn't 100% effective, so when water gets in, it stays in. I still cannot understand how Sunbrella determind the fabric was performing as expected... it certainly does not perform as advertised. I cannot leave my cushions out in the rain without getting wet let alone let me kids sit on them for dinner without staining them. We're also in Florida and the cushions sit outside. I don't even bother getting them out unless we're having people over. I have some inexpensive lounge chair cushions I got on clearance from Target that have performed significantly better than the Rain cushion covers and they're 10+ years old. Unless Sunbrella has changed the fabric considerably, I would not waste my money on it. You're better off going with whatever outdoor fabric over foam that dries quickly. And opt for mesh fabric/covering on the bottom so water can drain out. Unfortunately, this means you can't flip them over, but at least the water can drain out easily so when they inevitably get wet they will dry easily.
