Pottery Barn Upholstered chair quality?
Comments (29)Much better pricing! The Calico Corners was high IMO. If I were doing three upholstered pieces in the configuration shown I would try to come as close to "matching" two pieces. What does your sofa look like? I may have missed you sharing that. So lets say your sofa is a gray chenille. For the chair I would try to shoot for a neutral of maybe soft white or cream or the same color as the sofa but maybe in a linen so they are both the same neutral color but different because of texture. Then for the second chair I might think about doing a different chair that has the same scale as the other but can stand on its own too. On this I would choose a different fabric a print possibly. Here is an example of different fabrics and a different chair that could hold its own with the Lee chair you have....See MorePottery Barn Chatham outdoor furniture
Comments (5)E - Great choice and good thing you stayed away .. and yes too much money for a look but poor quality... I bought the an 7 piece PB Chesapeake outdoor set 8 years ago and as the above poster mentioned after a couple of seasons in Upstate NY covered in harsh winters etc .. the set started peeling and cracking in places not even 2 years into it .. 8 years later and they look awful. I was all set on sanding and staining it this year but the thought of spending hours just to make it look half way decent was too stressful. I have just passed it off to one of my neighbors who loves it ..... now its their headache add in the awful cushions which always were soaked even after a slight rain and always ended up with mildew .... I actually veered towards the sustainable route this time and went with a amazing set from Yardbird with Sunbrella fabric for the win! How's The Summer Classics set you bought ... I was looking at them as well a few weeks back....See MoreTeen Bedroom Furniture Comparable to Pottery Barn Quality
Comments (10)You can order Ikea online and pick it up same day from the store. They collect it for you. (It's called "Click and Collect). Not a lot to handle, and good social distancing with this method. Each item has the box size listed online, so you can figure out whether you can fit it in the car. You can buy mattresses, pillows, beds, EVERYTHING. You can return it within a year if you don't like it. Also, if you're not too far away (so it isn't prohibitive), you can get stuff delivered. Get the kids to help you assemble it all!...See MorePottery Barn Indio Outdoor Dining Patio Furniture anyone?
Comments (36)We have had a partial order of our Indio Metal Dining set and Lounge chairs delivered. (the rest is on backorder) While everything looks nice one of the Chaise lounge chairs and a couple of the dining chairs their legs do not all lign up and so there is a slight wobble to the chair. Both Chaise lounge chairs (not kept under the patio) have been rained on, while they look fine they are retaining water inside the aluminum construction of the chair. While i know aluminum does not rust, however aluminum can corrode over time. I am wondering if this is going to compromise the longevity of the chair? Again everything looks great, the quality of the product leaves us second guessing the purchase decision. Coming from a major designer/retailer like Pottery Barn this is a really big disservice to the customer confidence. i am looking forward to seeing how Pottery Barn addresses the situation. and here are a couple boring videos i took of the chair leaking water, the chairs are on their side and about 2 days after the last rain event. And yes the videos are like watching paint dry.. looks nice...See Moregsciencechick
