No more supply chain issues!

The smaller things that have nothing to do with the changes from the pandemic. My life did not change all that much, other than some extra precautions that were not an imposition.

So I look forward to the plants I ordered arriving, I look forward to planting them and I look forward to being smack dab in the middle of the growing season. I am excited to my fruit trees to arrive. I've never had any success with them but I am a hopeless optimist when it comes to these types of things.

I look forward to working a day shift with my boss in a few weeks. Because I have a bone to pick, and prefer to do so in person, so he can't hide behind his email. Nothing will come of it but he is WRONG to do something he is doing and I like to call him out and watch him SQUIRM before my eyes.

I look forward to leos first year vet visit and shots. I want to see EXACTLY how much he weighs. He is too big to get on my scale at home. But judging from the pain of my foot when he stomped on it accidentally and my back trying to lift him into the bathtub to try to get rid of his corn chip BO I am guessing somewhere around a half a ton. Give or take a few pounds. So I am looking forward to seeing his progress.

Opening this site and not seeing someone start a thread about masks, vaccines or anything else related to Covid fears and anxieties. Those threads share nothing new, aren't helpful and simply add to the divisiveness. Some of you don't want to move on. That's fine. But the rest of the world will go on and I plan to be a part of it. Get off the negativity and rejoice in the good news.

I looking forward to more family time with the grandkids, beach trips, road trips and getting back to pre-pandemic normal.

I ordered some flowers from a new-to-me floral provider. They should arrive Wednesday. The company only charges $39 plus tax per order so I want to see if it's a better deal than what I can get at Trader Joe's for the same amount.

I'm looking forward to being able to progress with my kitchen renovation without significant delays or problems, but I am sure that those are bound to happen, and so I am expecting as little as possible.

I am looking forward to some alone (almost) time this week. My DD just left after visiting for five days, DH has to out of town this week, so it’s just me and my two dogs!

I'm looking forward to the weather warming up. I'm tired of being cold when I go outside. And hopefully my friend will come again this year, maybe in June, for her week long visit. i can't remember the last time i looked forward to spring like i do right now. this has been a brutal winter. i'm ready to see tulips and crocus peeking up from the sand and for a good ole nighttime thunderstorm!

Been homebound for over a year. except to the doctor, hospital. READY to get out!

I'm looking forward to spending nearly every weekend from late March until November at our lake cabin fishing, playing on the lake, eating great food, and of course drinking. We've gone down a few times over the winter to check on things and do some maintenance but it's not much fun.

Very short term: in an hour or so I’m going out for my daily walk and then continue what I started yesterday: cleaning out flower beds and rejoicing at every daffodil I see that’s peeking up out of the dirt. And opening the windows this afternoon. 70 degrees in north Missouri on March 1!!

Also, no more C-word threads on here which, as someone above said, continue stirring the pot. Nobody’s going to change anybody’s mind about anything at this point. I’m moving on too.

I planted a tree this weekend. I'm looking forward to it breaking dormancy! I also noticed some perennials starting to wake up. My seedlings inside are looking good. I'm looking forward to the beauty in the garden and the return of the hummingbirds.

Nothing. Everything seem so bleak that I don't look towards the future anymore. I'm supposed to go to a wedding in August but don't know if that'll be a for sure thing until August when I get in my car and go. I feel selfish planning a future when so many don't know how today will end.

I look forward to every day!! Each morning when I wake up, it is an opportunity to relish what the day may bring and enjoy life. I tend to enjoy it more when the sun is shining and it's warm enough to be outside but even indoor days have their own appeal :-)

I really do not understand about the constant gritching and complaining about online topics or participants. If these are what rule your life, then you need to find other interests. Get a life, for heaven's sake!!!

Warm weather, daffodils are already coming up! Planting my garden. The first tomato of the season! Which will be much earlier than any other year because I have two mature plants in my house from last year's garden.

I forgot to add, using my new kitchen faucet. It's been leaking some off and on for years and just planned to change it when I redid my kitchen someday. Yesterday, though, it wouldn't turn off at all and was pouring out. I called a plumber and ran to Lowe's to get a new one. Of course, by the time I showered and left, the water quite spewing out. They also fixed my dishwasher drain, so I can use it again too. Haven't used it in years. I did a run through last night to make sure it was okay and to clean it out since it's been sitting for so long. My faucet is one of those new fancy ones with the detachable sprayer. I'm having fun using it.

Yesterday I planted 16 Leslie Woodruff Lilies. Then black and double pink hollyhocks. Note: the ground is still frozen...it was an hour long project. Walmart price: 8/$12 ♥ The hollyhocks are indoors in pots.

Good question, Annegriet. My dad once told me that we all need something to look forward to. I agree, and I try to create some if they don't happen naturally.

I'm looking forward to a future without shingles (I've had shingles three times), as I get my first Shingrix shot tomorrow.

This week I'm looking forward to getting my QSL cards. QSLs are postcard-size cards sent by ham radio operators to confirm radio contacts. These will be my first. I've seen the proofs and I'm delighted with them. I used my own photos (four on the front, two on the back), and ordered 1,000! Overkill on a grand scale, but like most print jobs it didn't cost much more to get a lot. My son, who has been sending and receiving QSLs for a long time, assures me 1,000 is a (somewhat) reasonable number.

Today I'm looking forward to my regular Tuesday evening Zoom with three friends. We've been meeting via Zoom every week for two years, and I hope we never stop--pandemic or no pandemic.

After posting my earlier response, I realized what day it was and went to the feed store and bought some straw for my garden. Came home and planted snow peas, chard, onions and carrots. The ground had been frozen for so long and I just forgot about peas.

warmer weather and daylight savings time

I guess my birthday on Friday. In our family, we have three birthdays in a row and yesterday was my grandson's party, two weeks ago I had my daughter's and my son will have mine on Sunday. Wish we could spread them out. I like spring and on the AT I see signs of it every day and the birds are starting to sing again. What I dread are the days to follow, the stinking humid super hot days, and droughts we have been getting for a decade or longer.

I'm looking forward to my parents' estates being settled and the house sold, so I can live in the present, look forward to other things, and stop dealing with the past.

glenda - I agree - I've been housebound since the end of Aug. i can now get down my steps to my land again at least. i hope i can drive again and go somewhere soon. and I'm so happy you are recovering!

Spring! Even though it won't really be here in the Chicagoland area for some time, we're at least having more sunny days -- between dustings of snow.

End of worry over dying fridge! Today I was finally able to order a replacement for my dead/dying refrigerator. It's to be delivered March 17. We'll have to keep surviving with the tiny fridge DS loaned us -- one his workers used for lunches in his flip house. (House has its own fridge operating now.) I have to hope we can re-use the same woo d panels from my old fridge on the new one. Cross fingers dimensions are accurate. Big outlay, but it's taken weeks to find a solution.

It was 90° today, and so I'm not looking forward to warmer weather, except that warmer weather means that I will be able to use the pool without heating it. Our warm weather will cool a bit for the next few days but still be comfortable. We will spend March in L.A., but I will come back in April, and by then I will start heating the pool again, although maybe not to 87°. I'm going to try 84° and see if I can find that comfortable. I don't want another large gas bill.

This weed has been blooming in our front yard all winter. Kevin wanted to remove it, but I like it, even if it is a volunteer plant. I have no idea what it is, but my guess is that someone else may have planted it in their front yard. It does not need much water, but it will probably go dormant during the summer.

I'm looking forward to having a pizza party here - hopefully in April.

We have a couple of cluster birthdays. I've just learned to smile and enjoy when my cluster birthday happens. I finally found a nice cake that everyone enjoys that I can eat so bring on the excess celebrations.

@Lars, that "weed" is a California native plant, Sphaeralcea ambigua, aka desert or apricot mallow, a low growing, evergreen shrublet. It was very likely intentionally planted as it would not pop up on its own in that location. But it is well suited to that environment, needs minimal watering (a bit in summer) and is attractive to hummingbirds and various pollinators.

Looking forward to warm weather. After the Christmas season it get dull. Just eating out, shopping, going to the club and indoor activities with friends/family get too routine. Short term looking forward to the first of the season flea market at the community center this Saturday, but I'm not looking forward to taking the grands to a birthday party at an indoor playground Saturday evening. Tons and tons of running, screaming kids. But the grands will love it. Looking forward to the Easter party at the shrine and Easter activities. If the weather is decent enough this spring we usually get some fishing in. Long term my calendar is already booking up with activities for the summer through August. I booked the rental for our family vacation for 2023 this week. I am really, really looking forward to just digging in the dirt.

Going to the vet's office and being allowed in. I hate waiting outside and hearing the results over a cell phone in a very busy and loud location. We live in Ontario, Canada. I don't want much but this I do - as well as being able to take a pet if necessary to an Emergency Clinic and actually have our pet seen (whether or not we can go in). It does not help that we are in a snow belt.

I got a load of straw today! I'm so excited, even though, rolling them up further in the yard was rough. I'm so out-of-shape it isn't funny. Will start laying it in my garden tomorrow. I'm off the weekend so will hang out there is the weather is nice. I think it's supposed to be. It was nice today, wow, just checked and it is 70 right now!
