it is near a window but has filtered light right now through a blind.

If that is your most sunny spot, then it has the best spot you have to offer. If the discoloration on the leaves continues, take a pic while the problem leaf is still attached and add it to this discussion.

For now, you could peel the debris of removed leaves from the little trunks for a cleaner look.

Is the pot unglazed clay?

It is in a plastic pot. i didn’t know if these get any bugs so i wanted to make sure. What is the best soil you would reccomend to use?

Any plant can get bugs. I like soils that don't have peat moss in them. The pot in the pic should be big enough for years. If I was going to change anything, I would try to find a similarly sized clay pot to move it to. The breathability of the clay allows roots to access oxygen and reduces the chances of root rot (overwatering.)
