About to lose my mind over lighting upgrades

Hello everyone -

I am really struggling and need help with lighting upgrades!

To briefly summarize, we have a 1920's craftsman and I am trying to choose fixtures for our upstairs renovation that at least compliment the home's current style.

We have no A/C in the home and hot water/boiler heat. This results in all the heat rising to the top floor in winter and in overall hot/muggy temperatures upstairs in the summer. For this reason my husband really wanted me to find a fan/light combo for the upstairs bedrooms to help circulate air and regulate temperature. One bedroom is pretty small - about 8 x 10 - and another is a bit bigger - about 8 x 12. The house gets tons of natural light so I am not super concerned about having a ton of light from the fixtures at night.

I ordered this "hugger" ceiling fan (https://www.build.com/hunter-minimus-44-led-low-profile/s1626966?uid=3863246) for the upstairs bedrooms. Our electrician put one up yesterday and all I can say is that it is HUGE. It hangs down way too low from the ceiling and may likely decapitate us when we get out of bed in the morning.

Now I am freaking out because most of the true flush mount ceiling fans are farmhouse style (i.e., black wire with edison bulbs) or just plain hideous (like this: https://www.wayfair.com/Latitude-Run%C2%AE--22-3-Blade-LED-Flush-Mount-Ceiling-Fan-with-Remote-Control-and-Light-Kit-X116211006-L230-K~W005100995.html?refid=GX433582254857-W005100995_309848384&device=c&ptid=1251571395076&network=g&targetid=pla-1251571395076&channel=GooglePLA&ireid=143048998&fdid=1817&PiID%5B%5D=309848384&gclid=Cj0KCQiA9OiPBhCOARIsAI0y71A58ZZkAACo-ifcHwGAHjjCXGBhWqVWfj0GpeORJEKkZCijta72xcEaAgBAEALw_wcB).

I have found two possible fans that would at least be caged and possibly not pose a headbump hazard (https://www.wayfair.com/lighting/pdp/everly-quinn-gold-26-inch-enclosed-round-design-ultra-thin-ceiling-fans-semi-flush-mount-light-fixture-white-w007055760.html,

Anyway, my other problem is that my electrician keeps saying that the fixtures I choose don't have enough brightness. The fan I installed has 1700 lumens and is plenty bright, in my opinion, but he keeps telling me I need to get a fixture with at least 3 bulbs and 3000-4000 lumens. Obviously I am struggling and trust an electrician's judgment over my own, especially since the fan I already had installed is just awful.

Can any of you suggest any gold/brass/white fixtures that would be fan/light combos, super low profile, and the appropriate brightness for the bedrooms, that are similar in style to the two I posted above or are at least somewhat true in style to our home? Or do I need to give up on the fan/light combos and just go with a nice flush mount fixture?

Here is a photo of the fixture we installed in the bedroom - our ceilings are only 7' tall upstairs so it seems monstrous in the room.

Thanks in advance for any advice; I'm 9 months pregnant and absolutely stressed to the max about this ongoing renovation in addition to everything else, so any help from the community is SOOOOOOOOOOOO appreciated!
