Japanese iris and Louisiana iris are pretty spiky foliage plants, green all year, with beautiful spring flowers Texas Star Hibiscus blooms all summer long, gets about 7' tall and is a nice see through plant.

I'm seeing double comments 🤔 Everybody in my family loved pickled herring, but not me. I do like many kinds of fish, and regular herring too. I used to make my own ceviche with freshly caught fish when I was a kid - no precooking either. We mainly caught grunts from our dock. Never had pineapple on pizza, never want to. I eat a lot of cottage cheese, and like to cook with it too - but nothing sweet. I do like a number of sweet combinations with meats - sausages and maple syrup is classic, IMO, and I love cranberry sauce on roast turkey - just had plenty of that today 😀 Ketchup tastes pretty sweet to me as well, and I like it on hotdogs and hamburgers, mixed with yellow mustard. I like blue cheese very much all by itself, and do not want to dip anything into blue cheese dressing.

If cream cheese corn tastes (or has the same texture) as cream corn, hard pass for me! I think it's mostly the texture - like someone pre-chewed my corn for me. Absolutely NO to cilantro + anything! I have the genetic variant that causes cilantro to taste bad/soapy to me. Fruit and savory food shouldn't be mixed in general - there are some exceptions. No pineapple pizza/pork chops and apple sauce/turkey with cranberry sauce. My ex husband used to eat PB/bologna/mayo/pickles on white bread growing up - 😳

Well, dancing....not that it ever was an issue. I was raised Quaker, and dancing is against their religion, so I never learned to dance, and I married early, and going out dancing was never something of interest, but as a teen, myself and others used to go to the rodeos in a nearby town, and afterwards there were always dances at the VFW, and we would go dance with the cowboys, but I was never any good at it. I am not good at not helping an animal in need. I have always thought if someone doesn't step up to help, then I must. And seems like those animals...or a lot of them, have a way of finding me. I can easily talk to almost anyone, but I am in reality an introvert, and given my druthers, I prefer being alone. I am not good at phone calls, FB messages ( someone always wants to give me another senior horse that is in very bad condition, and tho I tell people over and over, I can't take more, seldom a week goes by that I am not asked.), I hate listening to voice mails, and everyone who knows me, knows if they need to get hold of me, text. I do read those. I hate talking on the phone. Say what you called about and that's enough. Exceptions of course for friends that I haven't talked to for awhile, but I am not a person who would call anyone because I am bored. (Boredom? What's that?!,). I especially don't like someone who is bored calling to ask what I am doing. So I guess I am not good at communicating. There are so many things that I don't do, because I am old and I have less of some of those things to deal with. I am not good with technology or change and I lack the interest to learn about it. I am not good at opening packages, or sometimes even bottles. My hands are not as strong as they used to be, and seems like everything like that is a struggle now. The same goes for handling hay bales and bags of feed. It becomes more of a struggle all the time. I am in very good health for my age...next birthday I will be 80. So I don't intend on stopping. It takes me longer to get things done.
