Moving Laundry Room to 2nd Floor...

We are planning on contracting out to make a room for our laundry room on the second floor of our home. The laundry room is currently on the 1st floor and acts as a mud room/laundry room combo as it is the first room when entering the house from the garage. The plan is to turn the current laundry room into just a mud room. The current laundry/mud room is 50 sq. ft.

The plan is to add a floor and wall to break up the 2 story high open entry way. This would be off our master bathroom and we would turn a closet in the master bathroom into the entrance to the new laundry room. Also storing the things (i.e. first aid, linens, extra toiletries, etc) in cabinets in the new laundry room. Rough size will be 80 sq. ft. of new laundry room.

Does anyone have input or has anyone gone through moving the laundry room from the 1st floor to 2nd floor? I am open to any suggestions.
