Amylou, if you're interested in composting
Comments (4)The write-up says: "The most beautiful composter in the world." :) It would work fine for winter, spring, and summer, but I'd want it in orange for autumn. :O)...See MoreAmylou, I got a PINK baking dish!!
Comments (9)"Welcome to the pinkhood". I'm just laughing at that! I do have a lovely pink set of Pyrex bowls that were my Grandmother's, but I don't use them because I'm scared that I will break them, like I did her peach luster pie plate and that pink pressed glass fruit bowl. I'm kind of a klutz. (sigh) Grandma liked pink, I also have an old pink patterned candy dish that she got as a wedding present clear back in the 30s, but I am very, very careful with it. As for that new pink dish, I set it on the counter next to my red Kitchenaid mixer and it looked like Valentine's Day! Bragu, when I venture out to the store I'm going to see if they have other sizes. I like having a prettier container to serve things in like hot dips or that layered Mexican dip. They are "gloppy" if I remove them from the cooking pan, it's prettier to leave it in the baking dish, so now I have a pretty dish to leave it in. Although I'm relatively frugal (the kids say "cheap"), I'll pay the extra dollar or two to get something made here and hopefully keep some of my neighbors working. Annie...See MoreAmylou! A pink kitchen for you!
Comments (16)Wow—memory lane! I grew up in a very old house where someone redid the bathroom in the 60s—it had cornflower yellow tile (everywhere) with a really ugly brown marble vanity. My first house, built in 1950, had a powder blue bathroom and a kitchen very similar to this one but with orange and avocado cabinets and yellow-pages-yellow walls. When we bought our current fix-a-wreck house, also built in 1950, it had powder blue kitchen cabinets and oatmeal colored tile walls around the entire kitchen. One of the baths had salmon pink tiles/fixtures and the other had mint green tiles/fixtures. Now, my house has a white /wood kitchen and white/gray marble baths and laundry—makes me wonder if some future buyer 30 years from now will think we were all too boring?...See MoreAmylou, yet another pink kitchen for you!
Comments (7)So pretty! While I am sure this is "vintage" I am so happy to see the surge of people FINALLY doing what they want to their homes, not what somebody on TV or in a magazine SAY they should what! Team pink EVERYTHING!!!!...See Moreplllog
