Am I Dreaming? Surreal Rooms

Houzz Contributor. Hi there! I live in a 1940s cottage in Atlanta that I'll describe as "collected."
I got into design via Landscape Architecture, which I studied at the University of Virginia.

sur-re-al: having the disorienting, hallucinatory quality of a dream; unreal; fantastic: surreal complexities of the bureaucracy.
I just swiped that from a dictionary site. I'm not sure what the bureaucracy has to do with anything.
The brilliant photo styling in the Graham and Brown wallpaper scenes inspired this ideabook. All of the rooms are about the same size as a padded cell, and the models are placed in a way that reminds me of "The Making of Lionel Richie's 'Dancing on the Ceiling' Video." If you weren't a vidiot like me in the '80's, the room turns so that one can dance on the ceiling. I think they ripped it off from Fred Astaire, but I'm not sure. Anyway, the photos are also full of oddly proportioned furniture and unusual objects.
Many of the photos on Houzz feature fearless, extreme interior design. It makes me wonder what it would be like to live in dream-like surroundings. O.K. I've already admitted I was addicted to MTV as a child, and I fear letting you know what goes through my head when I look at these pictures might be TMI. If you have any thoughts about my psyche from dream analysis, let me know in the comments!

I'm not sure if I'd call this "surreal" or "sublime." Either way, I wanted to include the space that was built around an emerging rock ledge.
This space is definitely more sublime; it is at once so beautiful and decayed.
Side Note: At first glance, doesn't it look like a page from an Anthropologie catalog? If it was, those chairs would be "imported" and cost $2898 each.

Seriously, what WTH is going on here?
So in my weird furniture dream, all of this stuff would start boinging around and dancing, except the red screw side table, which would drill itself into the floor...
...in the same dream, the blue chair from the room next door walks in like a praying mantis.
In another related dream, these two chairs are talking to each other about Proust.
There is something really down the rabbit hole about this space - where's the big teacup?
If I lived here I'd think I had a maid named Rosie, a boy named Elroy, and a dog named Astro.
This is a glass box of a bedroom that hovers over the kitchen/dining room and can be approached from the stairs. I imagine some sort of weird performance art (is that redundant?) going on in this room.
I think I called this image Barbarella-esque when I used it in another ideabook. To me, it's a pool where Austin Powers femmebots lounge.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: I see Dr. Evil playing chess here. And I mean that as a compliment - so bold, so stark, yet the black makes it potentially eeeeevvilll!
I admit, I'm in my thirties and I've been reading the Twilight books lately. This room is very Volturi. Don't know what I'm talking about? Read "New Moon."
Sometimes, all there really is to say is "YOWZAH!!!!" Oh, and if you had a first date here, how would it go?
