littleone_fb-Fran-Delivery Status Notification!
Comments (9)Fran, I will reply additionally her to the emails you sent me. Seems I get a delay notice (maybe) 12 hours later. Then I might get a second notice 12 hours later than that. Then I get a third notice that it has FAILED totally maybe 12 hours later than that. By then I am so over it.... The second name you asked about...you are right. Their member name does NOT come up on a search. Try doing a search of posts at the Seed X with the name, and you will see they replied to one thread there, so they are indeed a member....join date March 29, 08, and they have NO EMAIL link grrrrr Anyway. I learned/read a while back that there is a snaofoo with some (newer I think) member names not coming up on a member name search. GW is working on it, but it is very hard to find/pin down the problem. They welcome members reporting each instance (member name)as it is discovered that it is 'not' found via a mem search. I will go now and report via the Contact Us link that that mem is not found. Hopefully it will help them find/fix the problem. I have noticed the ones I have reported, do get fixed and can then be found (a little later) I am sure you know, but others who might be reading this may not that often it takes about 24 hours for a new member's name to be found via the mem name search feature here. Just something good to know...if they happen to mail via GW yet their name is not found. Sue...rbb...See Morebroms and e-bay scammers
Comments (18)Feedback can be decieving, some people just don't know what to expect. I have also adopted a policy. When I sell something I post the seller feedback just before I send the item out. If I purchase something I WILL NOT post feedback until I have mine. I have actually had sellers tell me they will post my feedback after they receive theirs. Since I think buyer feedback is pretty much useless anyway I send them a nice little form e-mail that states how I feel about it. Its like they are holding back the buyers feedback so if the buyer isn't happy and leaves negative or even neutral feedback they can retaliate, which is wrong. Thanks for the tip on toolhaus.org, I'll have to check that out. My box showed up, and everything is nice, exactly as stated, I am pleased. Actually there is a another box coming tomorrow with elfin and mo pepper please another bonus plant and some more seedling pups. he sent Neo princess lea, and a pup of a seedling as a bonus. I have to load the pics to photobucket and resize them. I'll post them later. One of the pups of cheers is getting ready to bloom, I'll bring home pollen from Alexes house on Monday if I can find any I want to use. I looked today, and the seller that burned me on the white feather hostas put in the disclaimer. I decided I'm going to put mine in my e-bay store with the title WHITE FEATHER HOSTA Buyer Beware at $50.00, and it will come up in any searches. I'll post photos of the green plants, won't tell anyone who sold them to me, but that most of what is out there is Tissue Cultured junk from Holland that is unstable and unreliable. There is one seller that actually grows the plant, and his photos are probably are what the plant really looks like. It'll cost me 6 cents a month to keep it in the store with a gallery photo. People have been paying $20.00 and more for a 1 eye division. I saw one sell for $36.00. I feel sorry for them....See MoreWoodrich Wiping Stain Samples -- can't get reply from company!
Comments (9)I hadn't seen this thread before now. Yesterday, I called Amteco and talked to Karen about their TWP 100 for use on Garapa. She was very courteous and was able to answer most of my questions. I asked for samples, as my local stores do not even carry TWP (everyone is going to store-brand products around here, such as PPG and O'Leary). Not only did she say I could get samples to stain my own wood, but she offered to send another color, as well. On the other hand, I see Russell did respond to my request for sample product on their own forum, but, alas, no such thing is currently available. He did, however, give a pretty good description of what several of the colors will do on naturally dark and naturally light wood. I would really like to see companies offer small sample kits, even if I had to pay a nominal fee to get 3 or 4 different colors sent to me....See MoreeBay Issues Anyone?
Comments (71)Several times I've been beat out at auctions, and I think it's the sniping software that does it. I don't have that type of software and it annoys me (BIGTIME!) when I get beat out of an auction by someone using it. I'm one that if I really want an item, I'll sit at the computer when it's close to the ending. I know I'm being sniped when I continually up my bid and keep being outbid immediately, especially :02 from the end of the auction. If anything frustrates me about eBay these days, it's that software. I'm sure that for those that use this software, it's a blessing - particularly for auctions that end in the wee hours of the morning. But for me, constantly on the losing end, it's not. I'd like to see them do away with it myself. When I sell, I rarely use a tracking service, I ship mostly usps priority. When I ship with USPS I usually pay the 65 cents to have the web tracking put on it. For the cost, it's a decent service. As a seller, you are waiting for basically two things. One, that the buyer received the item in a timely fashion. Unless you keep nudging them via email, you don't know.** Two, that they are satisfied, happy, or at least, know they got what they bid on. Again, you only get this through feedback. As a buyer, you are doing feedback on how speedily your seller got your item to you, and on whether or not that item was as described. To my mind, the tranaction is not complete until the item has been received by buyer and the buyer is either satisfied, or we have taken care of whatever issue is in the works. How you handle the 'transaction gone wrong' is a definite determination of what feedback is deserved, and again, that determination is made when both parties see the deal as done. Thanks for posting your view. I'm pretty much a realistic buyer with shipping. I pay attention to where the item is coming from and know that something on the West coast takes a long time to ship. If something gets here in a week I'm happy :) I know that not everyone thinks like this, so I can see where you are coming from. As a buyer, I still feel that the seller should give me feedback 1st since I bought the item & paid on time. If sellers are fearful of negative feedback, it can always be retracted. I agree. They should make sure it becomes the rule for sellers AND buyers. If you're going to claim it's broken, you should have to send pictures to PROVE it's broken before you get a refund for the buyer, and before you can cancel a transaction if you're the seller. I agree and think it's a great idea. With the Barbie we got, I took pictures of everything and uploaded them, sent a link to the seller; he could care less; stopped communicating with us. We even tried contacting ebay & fair trade. On an item that cost over $250, it hurt pretty bad to have to make the decision to not send it back to the seller & tie our money up. I've also been seeing cases where the buyer claims the item was sent to the wrong address. Over the years, I've have a number of buyers who wrote demanding a refund and/or another item. I've even ran across one "gentleman" who was using his ex girlfriend's ebay account, -and her checks- to purchase "gifts" for his "sister" halfway across the country. Uh huh. He was livid when the item was delivered to the ex-girlfriends (the address listed on the account -and- the checks), and I refused to send him another, but oh well. Even though he changed the "mail to" address a couple of days after the item was delivered (apparently when he realized he wasn't getting it), Ebay backed me up on that one, no problem. I hope she changed her passwords!...See MoreErica
