Thoughts on wallpaper accent wall?
Comments (12)IMO dark green would be my last choice of paint color in that space.Sorry I need to know what you want this space to be like when done. Those cabinets are screaming dated and way too dark. IMO if you want some green in the space do thecabinets a nice pale green and the walls a warm white BTW hanging wall paper does not work well on painted panelling and there is IMO no place for wallpaper in this space. Are you changing flooring ? I think we need a lot more info BTW all the lighting needs to be changed to LEDs 4000K before choosing anything .IMO you needed to have adesigner from the beginning and is that a TV on the staircase wall? IMO the whole point of idea books is to give a glimpse into your style and not one of yours is anything like what you are planning. BTW painted stone is never a good look and that FP is the best part of the space ....See MoreWallpaper? New paint color? Help me figure out my fireplace wall!
Comments (30)I know, you didn't ask about other parts of the room. The photos showing blue paint are nice, but I'd photoshop various transitional rugs. Seems a foundation would be better than wall changes. Soft blue imo is a tad delicate with much white. What about a soft teal, or green?...See MoreDesign Direction: MASTER BEDROOM WALL PAPER TOO YELLOW?
Comments (9)Thank you Patricia I let her talk me into it. I found out after when I bought it . I was sad to see the man hand her a check. I payed 1400.00 to buy and to tear down the next day. I hated it. I am so so mad that I let her convince me it was going to be as she said"DREAMY". It was dreamy but my dreams were night mares. Please help me now start fresh. I orderd that bed because I sold my house in hamptons and wanted my old bedroom set . In that beach house it was gorgeous. Here 5 years later and special order it is very cheap version and I cannot change . My husband wants to keep it. I agree I didnt want the night stands husband wanted nightstand.s If I did anything It would be to paint over the grey inside with shabby paints. But lets move forward. Now that I tore it down. I have a blank canvas. I feel like a fool to trust her decorator;s advice and go against my gut feeling yellow was always wrong. Here are my related spaces right from the living room you can see this and the yellow was garrish and it looked like baby diaper gold. lol MY whole original theme was to do an amazing wallpaper that made you go wow! I still can because they took off the wallpaper and it is preppred now for wall paper or I have to prep for paint (more costly but I can go that way) My condo on the beach I forget to mention it was california king and I orderd just king and it looks so little kids and this looked gorgeous in my beach home....See MorePeel and Stick Wallpaper OVER existing Wallpaper?
Comments (18)Thanks all. I am a Realtor. and have been for 15 years.....so I do understand the importance of what's really critical and, as this is my mother's home (she passed away in November) and I'll be listing it, I'm taking extremely good care of the systems, yard, appliances, etc. I'm willing to invest more than the average "flipper or prepper". The comps are extremely good in the area so I'm willing to go over and above to maximize the sale. I'm really just curious if anyone has every used the peel and stick over exisiting wallpaper. I had no intention of paining over the paper. - that's a shortcut I'd never do, especially on my own property and If i paint, I'd remove the paper, have the drywall prepped appropriately and then paint. I just wanted some insght into the peel and stick and see if it was worth a shot! Thanks all!...See MoreBrad Wayne
