My thought is the Edgecomb Gray abutting the molding, is lowering the ceilings visually. Consider painting them the trim color in a flat finish.

As for an accent wall, do something darker behind the wall hung t v.

If toile, try in bathroom, not where it'd draw attention to a tv.

No wallpaper on the TV wall, it's too distracting.

I would wait to decide on whether or not to change the paint color on the TV wall until you finish decorating that room.

For example, the area rug in there seems boring to me.

That room would be so improved with a lively rug such as a hand woven tribal.

Or if you like a more traditional rug, a hand-knotted Persian is always perfect.

The paint colors and the wainscoting are fine, and you can continue the waiscoting in the hallway if you want.

I would not paint the stairway a different color. You don't want the house to give a choppy feeling, especially with the open plans they have nowadays.

If you are in love with a particular wallpaer, you can cut a few rectangular pieces and put them up spaced, and frame them with pieces of molding and they look as though they are works of art. This looks very nice in a dining room.

I don't particularly care for the wallpaper you chose. It is very dense and a bit odd. I would find not restful or happy or inspiring. If you are bound and determined to have it somewhere, maybe have it as an accent wall behind your headboard in the master bedroom. Often people go bold with the wallpaper in the first floor powder room, but I would find it too disturbing for even there.

I can't see the alligator piece very well, but I am wondering if it doesn't belong in a children's room?

Thanks all. I guess you can tell it's a guy's kinda pad. Nashville. Perhaps a little more artsy fartsy. Not for everyone.

I'm going to upload a few photos of behind the couch and the kitchen. The backsplash is a teal glass tile. The kitchen island is being replaced by a custom wood island.

I like the place, but you should have some more color, not only in the art.

For example in a rug, and also in throw pillows.

Now that I see the lion art, it is nice and quirky, not juvenile.

If any accent wall, do an accent color on the guitar wall

The wallpaper looks great but I would probably use it in your pass through spaces like the hallway or up the stairs instead of as an accent. It would look dramatic having it on both sides of you as you walked through, but dramatic in a subdued way because of the color and you’d still gets peeks of it from elsewhere.
