Thanks, everyone! I did do the mountains myself and it wasn't that hard. I follow The Decorologist blog and she had a great step-by-step, along with the paint colors to use, so I didn't overthink it. :) I never even thought about a rug under the bed, Sina, that's a great idea. We are in Colorado so there are mountains everywhere, but I went to school in the Blue Ridge Mountains - love that.

Lovely room! What age child? How about a larger lamp on the bedside table, a mirror over the dresser, art on the walls, a bookcase?

Another option would be to have one facing the window on the wall closest to us (where the crib is), and one facing out in the corner where the dresser and bins are. I'm not sure what space would be left for the dresser, though, and where the door is would matter, too. Also, wherever you have the dresser, it may need to be anchored to the wall ... monkey children can knock almost anything over, and you don't want it to be onto themselves. (I never really thought about anchoring things to walls much until a two year old I know tipped her changing table/dresser over ... no injuries, but a big crash and a new appreciation for furniture anchors.)

That's a very pretty blue! I'd buy a pack of small canvas boards to paint a few colors on and move them around the room to see how they react to the lighting. (I found some at Walmart; poster-board is too flimsy) As for kids' beds, I can't recommend the Ikea Kura reversible loft bed enough! We got that bed for our 6 yr old son (turning 7 soon), along with the jungle canopy tent. My soon to be 4 year old daughter LOVES his bed. So, we'll be getting her the same one very soon.
