Want to help me choose accessories for blank slate bedroom(s)?
Comments (5)whenicit, Thanks, but I need LOTS of help! The other advantage to the 2nd layout in BR1 is that the headboard is rather high and if I put it along the wall, it won't block the windows which would probably be better. I'll see about adding seating when I get the beds assembled. We may have room and it would give me a project to scour antique shops. That is what I'm planning on doing for a nightstand in the second bedroom. A little shabby/chic, beachy. I was going to look through some "Real Simple" magazines for inspiration. I'm not sure exactly what I want yet, but I though a "weathered" table, perhaps in a fun color, would go nicely with the iron bed. ajsmama, Thank you for the suggestion on BR1. I agree that swaping the nightstand is much better. On BR2, I think I could move the dresser closer to the door. The only think I actually don't like about the dresser in that position in general is that I'm not fond of the look of it from the side, but no mater how far forward or backward it is, I'm going to have that problem... Comments (3)I did that last year, needed to buy for an entire house (replacement due to fire loss). What I found most useful was the huge selection, all in one place. Went to several of the outlets in both HighPoint and Hickory, but ended up buying everything from FurnitureLand South. They had the best prices and the largest selection. I was able to compare things I already priced locally (Chgo area), so I was confident with pricing. Also, they had better pricing on all items I was able to find on Wayfair and Overstock. At a certain $$$ point you get free shipping. If your sister lives in the area, even better!...See MoreMaster Bedroom - Making it cohesive, choosing when commitment phobic
Comments (77)Also, we've changed some things in our kitchen/breakfast room area so that color is going lighter. Currently it's SW Colonnade, but will be changing to SW Glacial Stream. It's a similar tone, but I want to go lighter. From the kitchen, there's an opening to an area where the garage door is on the left side and the powder room door is on the right side. Here's the Cheerful door to the garage. If you don't like it, please keep your comments to yourself. I like it a lot, but it's a bit brighter than I anticipated. Note to self to always do a sample, not just hold up a swatch. I will not repaint it. It looks good, just personal preference to the brightness. The gray is Colonnade, but changing to a smidge lighter gray....See MoreNeed help redecorating bedroom! New pics!
Comments (193)Yes Sofia has Beige but the background color is not ivory it is a cool tone not warm at all..that is why you can go both directions... Worldly gray is a bit cooler than accessible Beige...If you go warm on the walls your room will just be one note of Beige:( to matching ....I would keep the walls just a bit cooler so the room is not all beige and you can introduce a tiny bit of gray....I wouldnot do accessible Beige just to Beige:((...See Moremtnrdredux_gw
