Well, you know, I am peeved. Once upon a time, not all that many years ago, the appliance manufacturers kept upgrading their appliances with extra little features to entice consumers to buy their brand. Now, something like a flipping egg tray is considered an option? You can hardly find a unit without the stupid icemaker but they remove things like humidity crispers and egg trays evidently to keep their production costs down. The next thing you know, they'll ask if you want to order the condenser option! More bells and whistles every year, like tv sets in the door.........but take out all the things you need for an appliance to hold and keep food. geesh. Thanks for the heads up, Jazz. I guess Frigidaire doesn't even make egg trays as an option. Although the English models seem to have them standard. They evidently still believe in egg trays. rofl. I'll measure the inside of my fridge doors, Jazz and Di and see if these could fit. Bless your hearts both of you. This is from the lady who could conceivably have fifty dozen eggs at once, LOL. I even had a seperate egg fridge for a long time. I don't reuse the cartons, as a lot of my customers bring back their old cartons when they buy fresh eggs, and um some of them are the worse for wear, and icky. Nice plastic egg trays for my own use....... I can wash in soapy water. Hey Andie.......I still have two record players. One of them needs the speed belt worked on, when I get time.

Believe it or not, decent looking ceiling fans exist. On every design show I've ever seen they're the first things to be thrown out, but I have them in every bedroom. Mmm slight draft at night without the sound of floor fan... I pspent no fewer than 18 weeks looking (off and on) for a "pretty" one to go in my master. I have lived with a 4 poster bed. My experience - unless you have really high ceilings, and I'm talking like 10 ft, and a sizeable room, it will turn your space into... tiny. Once upon a time in a previous life I thought I had a big bedroom until I put a poster bed in there. I like your computer nook. I always wanted a space like that, which I could separate from the rest of the room with some romantic drapery tied back. I might force that idea on my formal dining room. :) beds/headboards coverin ga window do bother me. I don't like anything to cover a window (couch, table, or otherwise) -- but that's just me. And if it came down to a queen bed, or covering that window, sure - the window would get covered! We have single panels on our two bedroom windows, mostly because they're skinny and it looked silly to me to have two panels. If you need to cover the window, something that seems to help (at least when I've seen it done) is to pull the bed away from the wall a foot or so. Then you can go with two panels, and it looks kind of intentional instead of "didn't have space." Something else to keep in mind with blocking windows -- does the sun come directly in such that it would fade your bedding over time?

Cindyloo123 - You are right, we need something on the tall side - we need approx. 3 feet high and want 4 feet wide to balance the width of the TV. Hubby had run all the wiring for the cable box and we really don't want to hang anything above the TV. We want some sort of cabinet/bookshelf/table/whatever for underneath the TV to hold the cable box but not show any of the icky wires. I am a sucker for painted/distressed furniture and I am glad to see many of you suggesting I go that route. Originally I did think that black might work, but with the kinds of fabrics that I am leaning towards with bedding/drapery, I think that vanilla or creamy colors might be best. I still am not even close to finalizing decision on the fabrics but I do know that I want lighter kinds of colors as opposed to dark. aktillery - that link did not work for me

I just finished setting up the 3-drawer Tarva chest today. Haven't decided how to paint it yet. Imo, it's a solid piece. Nothing's budging and it's heavy. The untreated pine makes it easy to customize as well. I've had plenty of Ikea pieces over the years and have always been pleased with the quality for the price. Their drawer hardware is awesome for the price. Didn't have a look at the Tyssedal in store so can't comment on that line. One thing I adore about Ikea is their easy returns.
