Wall color to complement stone

I'm looking to remodel my living room which includes an earth tone stone fireplace. There's currently wood paneling that is like to take down and replace with drywall. I'm struggling to find a paint color for the room. My go to colors are typically cooler tones and I'm not great at picking out paint colors. Any suggestions on a good paint choice to complement the fireplace?

Look at the blue/green/gray colors. I have BM Mount Saint Anne in my living room with floors and furniture the color of your paneling. I like it very much.

Of the last picture posted I like the Plymouth Rock the best and in the order you have mounted towards the right. Have you figured out how deep a color you want? Have you figured out how saturated a color you want. I am not sure if I am using these terms correctly. When I say saturated I mean less gray and more of the true color such as blue, green, yellow, red, etc. It was so difficult for me to see the underlying colors in the grays and I was looking at in my remodel. I had to paint swatches next to each other and live with it for a few days. Then, that information might lead me in a new direction, because of the new knowledge I gained while living with the samples. Different walls and times of days are telling on colors. @Condo Association Hi, yes I did! I LOVE my teal wall! It is Benjamin Moore Jade Garden juxtaposed against Sherwin Williams Alabaster. I did not follow the advice of these professionals in this chain who told me I should get my decor first before picking a color. I still haven't picked my new bedding but I'm sure it will all look fine when I do. I won't be inviting professional designers into my bedroom to nitpick how the undertones of my bedding and walls match lol. I have gold lamps which look great against the teal and the white juju hat also provides nice contrast. I say go for it!! Color is such a fun and easy statement and I love how you can be bold with it. I repeat, this is super old bedding and I have not replaced it yet because I am focusing on other areas of the house first in terms of decor. Room decor is not complete. I got my new guest bedroom bedding yesterday and put it on my bed just to take a look at it (guest bed mattress and frame have not arrived yet....will iron, don't worry)

Is the kitchen open to another area that will need to be part of the big picture? I like pale sage greens with your cabinetry, but I agree that the backsplash could use an upgrade first. How's your lighting? That should be considered before picking a color. 4000K LEDs are often suggested here on Houzz' under the cabs too.

The feel of the room is going to change so much with the paneling gone! I would recommend waiting to choose a paint color until the drywall is up and primed. Then you'll have blank slate when considering paint colors.

Any chance of toning down the fireplace stone? Would you considering doing a wash or it?

Thanks for the suggestions! No interest at this point in a wash (other to clean it) or changing the stone. The exterior of the house is the same stone. I did find a slightly better picture of the fireplace. There is very little light in the room (another thing to change) which doesn't help with pictures.

Do you have furniture yet--what colours?

if there is nothing in the room, pull out the orange/rust colour.
