porcelain tile or sealed and waxed concrete?

We are designing a new build for our modern ranch house in the Texas hill country. I love the overall look of large format porcelain tiles (ex: Bottega Acero from Porcelanosa). They are beautiful and maintenance free. However the cost reflects that as well. The labor associated with laying the heavy 48”x48” large format tiles also makes the price go up. When talking to builders we have had two that suggest concrete floors as an alternative to save money. However I have heard that concrete is fairly cheap materials wise but costly with maintenance, etc. We would not want to stain the concrete, just score, polish/wax, and seal. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
