Help with bedroom decor/color scheme
Comments (2)I frankly think that valances and especially doilies are really no longer seen nowadays. I don't think the white valance is too noticeable if you have your heart set on it. The pillow looks fine, and it doesn't have to exactly match the throw. Introducing some yellow or gold into the room might be a good counterpoint against the green and white. Do you have to buy all the furniture pieces for the bedroom? It's not really considered desirable to have everything in one style or color, it's too matchy matchy. It will be interesting to see how your white bedding goes with the alabaster furniture....See MoreHelp with bedroom decor and furniture?

Comments (10)Or... You could hang drapery across the back wall behind the headboard. The fabric doesn't have to be expensive but you should have a lot of it so its flowy and voluminous. I would go for a heavier fabric (e.g. velvet like or linen like). If you use a curtain rod or a metal rod from the hardware store with three rod brackets it would even need a lot of sewing (turn the hem under so you don't see the raw edge). I would add wood feet or metal casters from the local hardware store to increase the height of your night stands and put two tall but simple lamps on them. I would replace your drapery and blinds with wood look blind with wider slats or blades to simplify the window and have it blend in. Or you could do a fabric blind that would block the light if that is an issue. The fabric should match or compliment the fabric behind your bed. You could hang a neon sign or hollywood sign above the window to give it a bit of bling. I love your floor and your rug is the star of the show. This would be a really fun project and not too expensive. I wish it was my space. :-)...See Morehelp with bedroom decor
Comments (1)Get an overall plan before you go any further (for a unified look). Do you have an inspiration piece (fabric, accessory, or clothing)? What colors do you like? Discover your style. In top search box, put in different styles (one at a time). Examples are Glam, eclectic, transitional. Note what you like and don't like. An option for over the other dresser is a piece of wall art. Get from a local artist, art gallery, or art.com. Get a print and have it framed locally. We look forward to helping you when you have more info!...See MoreHU-187528210
