Few suggestions.

I'd remove the shutters. I think they are too thin and don't add much w/the brick.

If you wanted to try a bright white trim and deep black shutters, maybe, but I'd prob lose them altogether

You mentioned Urbane Bronze. here's what that would look like w/tthe brick, somewhat, and a darker trim color

or use the creamy white for the trim. your current white trim is too yellow looking.

have you considered painting the brick w/Romabio? IT's a natural lime product.

if you did that, removed the shutters, and painted your front door this light blue, it would look like this

they used the Masonry Flat for this brick. I love the copper awning over the front door too.

if you like the limewas look, Romabio Classico would be the option. (try it out. it will hose off in the first 72 hours if you don't like it. try a sample on the side or back)

You've got to be kidding, paint that beautiful brick! I agree some brick homes might look better being painted, but for sure not this one! It is a classic and beautiful the way it is. Yes I can see trim being changed, can offer no suggestions, but will be interested to see what others have to say.

I just don't think it's going to do a lot. your house seems to be in the shade, so using these neutral darker color against the dark brick is going to make it disappear. the khaki color is only a tad darker than your current cream color.

And you already have brown shutters that you can't even see. where's the Urbane going and what would you like from it?

I'd do the brick (sorry doods) so the house would stand out against the beautiful green surround.

I would like to see the shutters removed, but there might be a difference in the color of the brick behind them. I like the brick so would hesitate to change it. What color is your roof? That will have an impact on colors to be chosen.

The examples Beth gave for changing the entire exterior are pretty spectacular. However, there’s a huge cost to doing this whole house in a wash. If that option is NOT on the table, Beth also made good suggestions for the shutters being removed and the trim going to a pure white. The trim does look very yellow and doesn’t enhance the features trim should enhance. Painting the front door a light, happy color will also help. The trees and shade make the house seem dark so at a minimum, lighten the trim and door.
Unfortunately, it’s quite possible the brick underneath the shutters will be lighter. Then the house might need a gentle power wash. It’s a classic, stately brick beauty. Anything you do to give it a lighter feel will just make it prettier.

Thank you to all who responded. I have lots to think about. Yes, the goldish trim isn't ideal but this paint job was about 15 years ago. This house faces southwest and on a wooded lot of 1 acre in Georgia.

I love the wash idea, but this isn't going to be my forever home, and I'm pretty content with the brick. This house is only brick on the front and on the basement area on the other 3 sides. I have a lot of wood siding that needs painting and I'm still thinking of something on the Universal Khaki or Ramie chip card. I have seen photos of the Urbane Bronze trim that I love. I keep reading not to go with pure white but a creamier version.

The consultant helped pick the color based on the color of the roof and that we wanted a creamy off-white. Our windows had come back in style and are bronze. You may try the consultation. We ended up with SW Lotus Pod for the brick, SW Nomadic Desert for the garage door and front door trim, Gutters are bronze to match the windows, and front door was stained Kona.
