Hi there, We haven't done it yet, but I still want to. I actually found a neighborhood near here (tipped off by my neighbor who's been thinking of doing this for ten years but has yet to pull the trigger) where there are tons and tons of houses like ours, most painted a single color. They look great. And it's in a very fancy area, which I think explains the greater prevalence of doing this than my specific neighborhood, which is nice but not ritzy (since painting the brick adds a lot of $$). I took pictures of some of these houses, which I'm happy to post. I think it's important though to hire a really really good painter, and to shell out the extra $ for good paint. I've seen some crappy jobs and it's not worth it.

Vinyl or Hardi Plank siding? Are those the only color options? Personally, I'd prefer something with a bit more contract. What is your trim color?

I like the stone removed....less is more. I'm not sure I like the white railings; if you go with black windows, I would do the railings the same color like the first picture you posted. But I'd also rethink the black windows. I know they are trendy right now, but I have heard of people regretting the choice. At the very least, I would consider having the windows white on the inside.

Remove the shutters they actually detract form the windows the house is such a mish mash of styles i would keep the front door a simple one painted the same as the house that entry has so much going on no need for anything else.IMO the front porch is all wrong for the house and I would remove it and replace the doors with a large window to make it look like it was never a porch.Sorry but the architect that designed this house should get another job.
