I need help choosing a roof color, shutter color, new door style
We are getting a roof replacement and need help choosing a color for the roof. Will be using GAF Timberline HD shingles. Debating between Charcoal, Slate, Pewter Gray, and Weathered Wood. We are considering painting shutters and door black. I think that weathered wood may be too brown for our house color which is a bit more grey (house color is Anonymous 7046 by Sherwin Williams and trim paint is Amazing Gray 7044, current door and shutter color is Porpoise 7047). Should we paint our shutters and door a different color? I am also looking at changing the door to a new style but I am not sure what style will look the best with our house. Thanks in advance for the recommendations!

Comments (11)I know what you mean, we do like the color that is on it now, but would like something a little different to look at.....it sure is hard to choose....in the brown family there are so many! We found an aged redwood color we kinda like will have to see what it looks like on an actual shingle to know for sure....I know any brown would work, and being the house is really a neutral color it shouldn't be as hard as I am making it....just don't want to make a BIG mistake!!! Comments (3)We have been told we should paint brick by more then one decorating person. I really didn’t want to do that if possible. i was asking for new colors now that we changed to a new color roof. Shutters, awnings, lights,etc. we live on five acres in country setting in northern Florida. All day sun in front of house. Like a desert , Reason for awnings. shutters were an after thought is why we were going to change size of awnings if we were to keep shutters on home. 4 years agoThe current roof color looks nice. You could go a little lighter such as the medium gray in this photo. The double windows on the right side of your house are too wide for shutters.
