Need help choosing color for exterior
Comments (1)I would unify it to all one color, the color of the siding. Show us the color and we can advise about the porch....See MoreHelp me choose exterior paint color for our siding
Comments (2)Contrast, contrast contrast. Either go dark taupe or stone white like below, but that blue has to go....See MoreNeed help choosing exterior paint colors
Comments (9)Wow thanks for the input, guys! While I think the green works, it's just not my thing. I have played with gray browns, taupes, and think they look nice. I definitely want to stay with neutral earthy tones but I'm not feeling the green. I am also conflicted about the tudor-style, or board and batten, trim. Do we paint it the same color as the siding to reduce the busy look, and perhaps paint only the perimeter trim a different color? This was a question our painter asked because it's sort of in style right now. I think the beige garage door is what irks me the most. We did consider a new garage door but decided against the cost of it for now. Our painters are coming by with some taupes and dark brown samples tomorrow, so keep the ideas coming!...See Moreneed help with choosing a paint color for outside siding
Comments (14)That green is too pastel-ish looking w/the brick. Let me show you a bunch of Split level home redos so you can see what's available to you. merely changing the garage doors/color, and the paint color, has a huge impact (ignore the left part, I didn't do anything. I really like the board and batten on the front part of this home, along w/the darker color. for this I think you could use the Romabio Masonry on the brick portion. Here's how the dark color looks on regular siding over untouched brick: This is the before: The added wood slats, especially around the garage door area, help to warm up the more modern look. The colors are BM Gray Huskie and James Hardie Graphite Gray. Another split level done in gray tones. If you like your brick, brick a gray shade that works with it. paint the garage door (maybe add some hardware to it) bring in more modern numbers, paint the trim around your windows, and paint the front door, add a nice pendant light This one is a bit more traditional. wood look garage doors, front door, window boxes, and a grayish green color. If you changed it to white w/a dark trim color (look at Peppercorn/Kendall Charcoal/Iron Ore) and switched to the board and batten,,you'd get this look: I like this one too. Limewash the brick in a soft white/gray limewash, do the siding in a lighter tone, and try this silver gray color on the trim (no shutters). Try a dark front door, garage door, new lights. This brick is more red than yours, but gives you an idea of a color palette. Jogging Path is the name of this color on the siding Romabio on the brick and a warm soft gray, darker trim color: Similar style. notice the board and batten above the garage area, the other siding is like yours. do you like this look? someone mentioned a sage/gray color. Comfort Gray is the name of one of those (if you give a close up of your brick, I could narrow down some colors) any of these work?...See MoreCLC
