We used Behr Haze in our family room with the Ultra Pure White for trim. It is a true beige than lots of the others that I had looked at that had a yellow or pinkish tint to them. It looks great with our creamy silver gray sofa and our tile that has gray, tan and coral in it. I think navy or forest green would look great with it. You might check out Canvas tan or Almond Wisp. Both of these are in the line of Primer and Paint by Behr. Canvas tan is "less color" than the Haze ( which is not the Paint and Primer type). Almond Wisp may have a hint of pink compared to the Haze and Canvas.

My favorite color ever in this family is Kangaroo by BM having said that-no idea how would look in your space. will it read a bit purple? it might. a bit green? it might. will it be just a great enveloping taupe-verging greige sometimes? it might it's a small basement with one window. you need to try first. no color will behave the same everywhere. they change throughout the day several times in one room..especially complicated neutrals do. I love nosoccermom's idea going dark, if the room gets mostly evening use..you kinda challenge the room but let it be what it is too. might be fabulous with added whites/lights, mirrors, bright art, lamps..

I'm back...if you're still willing to help. If you'r sick of me, that's OK too. :) I just got off the phone with our painter, and he said I should use a creamer color due to the high winds in Aruba. Large amt of sands kick off the golf course. Whiter colors need more power washing...so I found two colors and I can't find much at all on the internet because I think they are newer SW colors! He did put Grecian Ivory up, but it was a bit light and not enough contrast with the trim. On the exterior the EAGLET BEIGE SW 7573 looked nice, yet I still don't know if it's too much yellow when painted on the entire house. He's painting a larger area for reference. Have you ever heard of ARRID SANDS HGSW3167? . OR if there is a better color that's a CREAMY/BEIGE with a hint of YELLOW undertone.I want to see more cream than beige. I have been looking for 2 weeks, and I can't seem to find the perfect color. I do like ALABASTER SW 7008 for the trim, PURE WHITE SW was too white. And, I like either TRICORN BLACK 6258 SW or URBANE BRONZE x 150 for the door. Any advice would be so appreciated!
