trim & ceiling color to go w/sw nomadic desert - please help!
Comments (37)Just to follow up, Kilim Beige on the walls with Alabaster trim/ceiling looks great in the new house! I love the colors with the dark walnut doors/cabinets and bronze fixtures. They just hooked up electrical so it looks nice with artificial light as well. Sometimes I regret not looking into SW Pavilion Beige, but I don't know why I do that to myself...what's done is done and I should be so relieved that Kilim Beige looks great! When they first painted I thought I saw peach undertones and I panicked. But I did not see that again. It is definitely warm, but I can't detect any real undertones. Flooring isn't in yet, so I'm curious to see how the color will change. patty_cakes, you wrote in a previous post above: "As for the color/colors, just a very pleasant, warm tan that has a beautiful candlelight hue in the evening. Good luck. ;o)" I thought of your comment when we saw the house for the first time last night with artificial light...kilim beige does have that beautiful candlelight hue in the evening! I will post pics soon. Thanks again to everyone, I appreciate your input and advice!...See MoreNeed a Beige to Pair with SW Sea Salt
Comments (25)So we went with the Maison Blanche/Sea Salt combo, and it looks fantastic! I will try to post pics. tomorrow. I have to say that as much as I absolutely love how these two colors turned out, they look almost nothing like the poster board samples I painted and held up all over the place! The Maison Blanche was lighter than I expected, which turned out to be a good thing and really helps to lighten the room. I had read what a chameleon color Sea Salt can be but was still surprised to find that it reads much more blue than my samples, which read green. Paint colors can be crazy! Thank you all again for the wonderful tips and suggestions. And extra special thanks to Tibbrix for introducing me to my beige winner, Maison Blanche. :) Darcy, great question about the accent wall. Initially, I wanted to paint the entire area in Sea Salt. After much consideration, hubs and I feared that it wouldn't be neutral enough for us because there is so much white trim in the whole area to make the color pop. And...he and I are not very daring. This is the first time in 20 years of marriage that we've had any paint color in our family room other than grey or beige. ;) We actually ended up doing the family room accent fireplace wall in Sea Salt as well as the area around the white kitchen cabinets (which is at the opposite end of the entire area.) I was nervous that it would break things up too much, but it really turned out beautifully. I bet your downstairs looks amazing. Maybe next time I can be braver!...See MoreSW Accessible Beige Walls, Help on Cabinet color

Comments (53)Help! We are re-doing our kitchen and I need to choose a cabinet color for my maple cabinets. Our home is the Tuscan style from the early 2000’s, so I do want to go with a warmer color. My walls are SW divine white. I like a bit of a darker beige or cream than Divine white to offset the lighter LRV of 72. Has anyone tried SW Natural Linen, BM Natural linen, BM Clay Beige, BM White Sand for cabinets? Also was thinking of Accessible Beige, but afraid it will be too gray. My kitchen is north facing, with minimal light. Our floors are noche travertine. We are going with a lighter granite or quartz and maybe Cle’ tiles for backsplash....See MoreCelery.
