Hi everyone,
I have a black
White theme through out my apartment however I’m
Open to other suggestions.
I’m Looking for rug and curtain reccomendations that go with orange reddish couch thanks and accent chairs.

Also art reccomendations for wall. I don't want green

Art is really a very personal thing. You could find a piece of art that you love, and let that help to inform your other choices. You don’t have to match the art to the room - or the room to the art. However, with a graphic rug like this shown above, I might just do something simple in the art - such as black and white art or photograph(s). Really no rules, though. Something like this poster, and maybe framed in black, could also work, for example.

I think your sofa could be a bit more centered on the wall.

The multi colored peice is an art work two different pieces. I just bought the rug and coffee table for now and am definitely taking your advice and waiting until we move to buy some of the other items. I have attached the plan for the room. Thanks again for your help . I was very stuck! we are putting in blinds for the windows and removing the curtains for sure.

The purpose of accent walls, IMO, is to provide interest where there is none architecturally. You appear to have architectural elements on all your walls, so I don't advise an accent wall. I think the room is choppy enough with all the elements, so it would get busy if you used two colors. If you want to start thinking about the adjoining dining room, a red-orange (half way between the yellow and violet blue om the color wheel) would work well. If is more of an appetite stimulating color and so is a good choice in dining rooms. The orange would look great next door to the violet blue.

5-5-75 will help you out a lot. Hang stuff centered 5' above the floor or 5" above furniture and keep its size within 75% of the furniture's width. I would rearrange, putting the TV on a credenza 25% wider than the TV and on the wall where you have the sofa now. Sell the loveseat and get 1-2 small scale swivel chairs. Sell the collegiate ladder shelf too and leave the wall there bare. Float the sofa with its back to the stairs and a walkway behind it. Place the chairs facing each other over a new wood coffee table placed 18" or less from the sofa. Use the clock in the kitchen or breakfast area or in your office. Check out ruggable.com for washable rugs. The rug should be at least 2' wider than the sofa and slip under the front 1/3 of it. The chairs should sit entirely on it or entirely off so they will swivel properly to face the TV. Put your tall plant from the other room by the stairs and loosen the curtains to fall to the floor.

Really nice home. Like the exterior colors, including contrast trim. A red door would go well with the house exterior colors -- any shade you like. Might consider dark wine burgundy red if you're considering repainting it. Like what you've done with the inside with one exception -- sometimes shades of white side by side can cause one shade to appear something other than white and/or even dingy in some light. (Right side of the door in the third pic.) If you want more color in your kitchen, consider painting the short wall above the cabinets at the ceiling your favorite accent color. If you want more color, you could paint the recessed panels on the dining side of your peninsula the same accent color. You might consider one of the blues on your ?coffee table? cover. Definitely need to remove some clutter, including in the kitchen and on the mantel, and choose art to hang on the wall above the mantel. Would be careful about adding too much art on the walls of that narrow living room - it could "crowd" the room -- perhaps one piece or grouping over the sofa. In my opinion, black and white will not go with your couch. Black and white goes well with cool colors. You have a warm color couch, walls, and floor. I like to have either all warm colors in a room or all cool colors. Here are warm colors: off-white, cream, golden yellow, orange, peach, brown, olive green. Cool colors: bright white, black, navy, royal blue, ice pastels, cool red, pine green, emerald green, Kelly green, forest green, purple, gray, taupe. Your couch is too style and color specific. I am all in favor of having a vintage couch. I had a MCM one for 10 years. When I got it, I had it reupholstered in light blue. It did not have a tufted back like yours does. However, after ten years it was looking mighty tired and I was ready to move on with it. I got it second hand, and I donated it again when I got a new couch. I have eclectic style. In my opinion, one can have eclectic style if the elements in the room are classic. With your current couch, you can have all MCM items in the room. I currently have a couch that is not style specific, and it is very classic. It will not go out of style and I expect to have it for at least ten years.

You could do roman shades on windows. You could change out wall sconces. Just depends on your budget and desires. I wasn’t sure if a TV was going in this room or not. I tried to select budget friendly items.
