Living room paint color for bohemian/global theme
Comments (19)The purpose of accent walls, IMO, is to provide interest where there is none architecturally. You appear to have architectural elements on all your walls, so I don't advise an accent wall. I think the room is choppy enough with all the elements, so it would get busy if you used two colors. If you want to start thinking about the adjoining dining room, a red-orange (half way between the yellow and violet blue om the color wheel) would work well. If is more of an appetite stimulating color and so is a good choice in dining rooms. The orange would look great next door to the violet blue....See MoreHello need help picking colors . Comments (5)There are a few common decorating mistakes that people post about here. Their furniture is too large and too dark for their space or they purchase area rugs that are too small. The other common mistake is assuming that if you fill your room with neutrals colors they will all automatically "match". For instance, cool grey paint rarely looks good with warm wood floors or stained trim. You can decorate with warm and cool colors mixed in a room but it is easier to decorate if you choose one tone or the other. So, consider the fixed things in your space that aren't changeable - trim, new furniture, kitchen cabinet color, carpet, tile, fireplace stone, etc. That will help narrow down the color palette selection....See MoreHelp picking living room paint color!
Comments (15)@rockyroad33 BM Sparrow is beautiful! We are really open to any color but want to steer away from true grey. The room has East exposure, so it gets some natural light in the earlier part of the day. The couch s a tan color, but we are open to updating the couch if needed to go with the other elements. @Molly D. Zone4B You are correct! The color will carry into the kitchen. Revere Pewter is very pretty, but we just came from a home with a similar wall color and want to mix it up a bit :)...See MoreJ F
