Casement Window Replacement: What window will match cedar interior
Comments (8)No, the windows are completely rotted out in their casings. I suspect that this is from some landscaping we had done about 12 years ago where the ran the sprinklers on a timer and they continually hit the house directly on these windows. Here is another picture where you can see the whole window has sunk into the sash so there is a gap at the top. What window brand do you recommend?...See MoreNew (off)white wood blinds do not match white trim!
Comments (22)I agree with applepieorder and RL Relocation as well. That whites do not always have to match totally. Secondly, I notice that you have window sills only (no other molding apparent on the windows. If you want to, you could paint just the sills as a diy project, but you know, I believe I agree with applepieorder that you don't HAVE to. I would enjoy your wood blinds like they are, and make that decision down the road....See MoreNew vinyl windows...try to match trim color or just do white?
Comments (4)JudyG Designs, I had planned on adding trim around the windows but now, after looking at that picture again, I may not. The first row of siding is actually a PVC starter board so it'd have to be notched to put trim below all the horizontal sliders. And there isn't a lot of room around the bay windows for trim. I guess I'm indifferent on the trim. What's your opinion?...See MoreDo door trim and baseboards need to match window trim (style-wise)?
Comments (5)We have an old house. Much of the trim didn't match between the old 1850ish and the addition of 1889. No one ever noticed. If the size of the 2 trims don't compliment each other, that would be more of a giveaway....See Moretoddinmn
