One of the antique stores I went to today had a booth with custom shades similar to this: I finished loading the pics onto my blog, and had the bright idea to copy the code here, but when I did, they were enormous. I can load them onto photobucket if anyone would prefer to see just pictures without dialog. I also put a poll on the blog if anyone has an opinion but doesn't feel like doing any more than just clicking a button. What I explained there was that I bought a shorter harp and after seeing several shades, decided they would all look better with it. I also described the colors of everything & gave some options there, and I don't really want to rewrite the whole thing here. I thought I was posting this to the small house forum, but had both windows opened and didn't notice it was the decorating forum. I'd move it if I could as I know most here don't like links to blogs, but since I can't, you can either ignore the blog link or ask me to put the pics on photobucket. Hope you understand.

Oh such a cozy room! Just beautiful. I'd pick a table lamp, since you have 2 floor ones already.. And I'd make it totally different..no reason for it, except that I like all the lamps to be different:) And you already clearly love eclectic-so why not to have fun. Just make sure it gives a light you love Because one of mine-a torchiere- was a bit dim and yellow. And we changed it for a bright white. And I found it impossible to read there-it hurt my eyes. So we changed it again for dim and yellow..:) And I'd look for something that you can direct differently..like your black one? I love it by the way. I found an old vintage tole light on Etsy I think..now I can read in bed, at last. Because nice but ambient light that was on the nightstand before didn't work, and overhead light is not enough at some point. I like this small tole light..the only problem it gets really hot, after some time..so I need to remember not to touch the shade when directing it.

Google 'fishbone lamp" and see if any are close enough. That shade, however, you might have to make with duct tape. :P

Photo is not good enough to ID the arthropods. If you can't see them on the plants, why do you assume they are attacking the plants and have to be killed?
