Large arched mirror what to add underneath

From former home we have two large framed mirrors we are tiring to repurpose in new home. Previous we had them on either side of fireplace. New home one flat wall. They measure 44x62, My thought was to add a 90" console under them with a 2 inch gap between mirrors above. Am I overloading this wall with this idea and should I only hang one with shorter console?

The most living rooms with corner fireplace have two focal points. So it is ok to have mirrors next to FP. But I would try another wall as well to see if it works better.

I think the painter's tape helps but, what you have is visually so much more. does that make sense? Here is what I think it will kind of look like might over whelm the FP?

Sounds overwhelming to me as well, especially so very close to the fireplace.

we all have mirrors in our gardens. Rosalee recently used shells her kids had collected 40 years ago, her husband mounted the mirror on their brick wall under the covered patio. She has a couple more scattered in the yard. I have 4 or 5 in my yard, one shell mirror hangs on a post where it reflects the chicken coop, a broken mirror leans against the fence behind the bamboo, small mirrors hang here and there. I am currently making a driftwood mirror with a huge framed mirror I got for $10 at the resale shop, it is from an old dresser. When I am done my dh will hang it behind the pond we are digging and it will reflect the waterfall. Darn the luck I have to go beachcombing tomorrow for more driftwood. One thing, make sure it does not hang where the sun will reflect it and cause a fire! Mirrors are so fun in the garden. Tally HO!

Instead of one long mirror we opted for two IKEA mirrors. If the counter had been big enough to fit 3, we would have done that. The arched top of the mirrors matched our cabinets. In the other bathroom we bought a plastic mirror from Home Depot for $20. I figured it would warp or something, but it has been perfect. It is entirely plastic and appears to be all one piece including the frame. Light as a feather. I'm an optics nut when it comes to mirrors, so the HD mirror had to pass my inspection in the store. If a mirror has any fun house effects like wobbly, ripples, or distortion at extended distances, I don't look at it. This HD mirror looked perfect even when reflecting the walls of the store 200 feet away. It is a big mirror but not nearly as big as you're looking for.

Will this size mirror work? 10' ceilings = 120" 35' tall vanity Im assuming 4" back splash marble counter top. Here is where I am confused. Is that four inches on top of the counter thickness and is the counter thickness included in the overall vanity height? light is 11' tall. will a 45.5" mirror or a 48" mirror work?

Homeowner or Renter? If you own the home, remove the ceiling light for a chandelier. While I understand, your leaning for arches in this room, as the chair backs have reverse arches to them.... Those arched mirrors are too small for the window.... Echo the length of the window by hanging the two medallions within the same wall length. - as shown by BEV's post above Consider adding open frames around them to give them more substance on the wall. Plus, paint the inside of the open frames a lighter color to serve as a visual mat

I don't mind the 2 mirrors over a long console - but not on that wall. It will compete far too much with the fireplace, the natural focal point of the room. Can you use them elsewhere?

Thank you for added picture, gives me more perspective. I agree with current comments after seeing this. I do have a wall opposite the fireplace, actually where the mirrors are located in picture I uploaded. Problem there though is I have a beautiful Credenza by Hooker furniture on that wall

How about one at the front door entrance? They are very heavy looking, so one should be

plenty in any space.

Maybe its time for something fresh and different. Sell them on Craig's List and get the "just right" decor for your new space.

Thanks all. The far wall is best bet, I get reflection in them from opposite wall that is full windows that back up to a greenbelt.

I think it's time to sell them. The details of the mirror are a bit heavy for the wall and will overwhelm any table you place beneath them.
