Have YOU found any bargains or deals lately? Hhhhhmmmmm.........?
Comments (15)Just came back from Joanne's Fabrics. We purchased duck in charcoal grey and black to make seat covers for DH's truck. The fabric was on sale, the Coats & Clark thread was buy 3 get 2 free, then the woman in front of me gave me a $10 off coupon! It ALL came to $45!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have tons of velcro in my sewing stash and several cans of Scotchguard. Beats $550 for Carhartt seat covers! The line to check out was CRAZY! They had 3 cashiers. She got on the mic and said," 17 in line can I get back up?"...See MoreHave YOU found any bargains or deals lately? Hhhhhhmmmmm...........?
Comments (29)Nicole_ That was a great deal! I have a couple of different colors (pink, white, and pale yellow) of those tree lilies (Orienpet lilies). They will grow taller every year, and they certainly do get to 10+ feet tall after several years. Once they approach that height, it is a good idea to stake them, as they will tend to lean with the weight of the large flowers. The tallest one in this photo is just topping 8 foot They also reproduce, unless you deadhead them. I let them, and so now I have a little lily forest in one corner. What colors did you get? I would have liked a purple, but never managed to get that color on sale....See MoreHave YOU found any bargains or deals .......? Hhhhmmmmm.........
Comments (43)OK, that makes some sense. I just couldn't picture picking something that long up. I'm used to just the regular snow shovel although my "shovel" part is heavy plastic so it's lighter than the metal one I use to have. A neighbor has something I haven't seen before. It's a battery operated "snow shovel" that acts like a blower. Pretty neat. It makes a narrow path and it can't be deep snow but it works pretty good....See MoreHave YOU found any bargains or deals lately? Hhhhhmmmm.........?
Comments (26)Not a bargain, but good news from State Farm. They're refunding the $500 we were charged when we had to file a claim last year. We should never had had to file, but nobody was listening. Our upstairs neighbors at the Maui condo admitted they'd caused the leak that damaged our unit. However, this happened the day before we were to close on our sale of the condo, and we had to get moving on the cleanup. It's only taken *forever*, but we supposedly getting a check in the mail. It can go towards paying DH's BCBS deductible for his hospital stay last month: $2K and growing....See Morenicole___
