Exterior paint color help - trying to keep the red brick portion
Comments (18)I like the colour scheme you have. Perhaps the grey siding could be a tad darker. I would look into cleaning the white spalling on the brick, redoing the landscaping, and add a roof or shelter over your front door. It's a pretty house that just needs a bit of tweaking. Also, when the time comes to replace the shingles, go for black or very dark charcoal....See Morewhat exterior paint colors would make pink brick seem less pink? Help!
Comments (7)As noted earlier, the green just draws more attention. I would: 1) Remove the shutters from the double windows. 2) Paint all the trim and garage doors a nice medium taupe. Don't paint the garage doors a different color as it draws more attention to them. 3) Paint the shutters, maybe a darker tone of the trim. 4) Paint the front door. A black door with taupe trim/shutters would be very striking. If you're interested in seeing some virtual makeovers of your home, check out my website, Creative Visual Concepts. Comments (10)Kelowna is so pretty. Lucky you! The orange brick is a good, low maintenance material. And while you could stain it, I would not bother. I'd focus on improving the landscaping. If you really must change the colour of your house, changing the white siding to grey will have a much higher impact. The large cedars were planted too close to the house and should be removed. Consider planting a shade tree closer to the curb-- yes it will take time to grow, but it will be very worth it in the long run. Since you'll be renting the property out, it's important that landscaping be low maintenance. So shrubs, clump forming grasses, daylilies and hosta are good choices. Rhododendrons and azaleas should be happy there and do not often require pruning....See MoreNeed help with this brick color and exterior paint options! yes
Comments (4)I think this is attractive combination that looks good with brick, which I would not paint. If you want to do do only one color either LaPaloma Gray or Winter Orchard works. Bachelor Blue looks good with the roof. Please trim the bushes so that they are no taller than the bottom of the pretty windows....See Moredecoenthusiaste
