Yes, agreed. Landscaping will be coming out before painters start and going back in once they're through. I've been experimenting with some pre-visualization software to test paint colors but so far no combo is really winning, but I do like the darker look. The brick is just such a small part of the house that it never fully looks as good as the example pic you've shown and others I've seen. Thoughts?

I actually think extending the gable would help a ton. What is bothering me is that the gable seems cut off, maybe because the brick doesn’t extend all the way up? I like the color. What were you thinking?

Yikes, your second pic just loaded and I saw that you already have a bit of patio. It makes the scope significantly smaller. Should’ve waited to post!

There is already a poured concrete porch that you can vaguely see in the photo. It doesn't come out too far, but it would be lovely to have it covered and I think it would add a lot more design element to the house. Just seems like it would be a lot of work.

Can’t help with color, but are the sellers doing the work or giving you the money to have it done? When we were in a similar situation we went the latter route. You have far more incentive to use quality paint and ensure a good job is done.

I like the colour scheme you have. Perhaps the grey siding could be a tad darker. I would look into cleaning the white spalling on the brick, redoing the landscaping, and add a roof or shelter over your front door. It's a pretty house that just needs a bit of tweaking. Also, when the time comes to replace the shingles, go for black or very dark charcoal.

Agreed - I think the shingles will need to be changed in about 5 years so that is on my radar. I may wait until then to make any decision about extending front gable to cover porch as well. Definitely a cute house, but when it comes to choosing paint color I just can't seem to make up my mind. Thanks for input!

Green is a complimentary color to the brick red and will look so charming! I would look into sage greens and possibly even cream color trim to coincide with the brick grout.
