Exterior Trim and Stucco Color for Red Brick House - HELP
Comments (4)I'm glad you're firm about not painting the brick. The brick is a natural, textured feature of your house that allows it to breathe and requires litte maintenance over time. Since you have a visible light brown roof, your trim needs to work with that as well as the brick. Here are houses with the same varieted brick as yours, one with a brown roof. You can pick up a greige for the trim with maybe a light blue or yellow door or this light green. Just don't do white--too much contrast. I'm showing this for the tan. Though the door is handsome and like yours, a lighter door might be better on your house since it's receded and looks too dark right now....See MoreNeed Help with Red Brick House Exterior
Comments (5)Please don't paint that brick! That is such a cool brick pattern. Brick layers don't take time to create like that anymore. I'd work with it, embrace it and celebrate it. This whole house has a cool funky vibe. I love the wood work on the left. Is that a porch or patio area? The styling of the wood is awesome. Even that garage door is cool looking. You're going to end up with s garage door that looks like everyone else's. That's too bad. Regardless, a spruce is very exciting. Have fun. Comments (10)Have you ever considered spray painting the red stone along the bottom? There are techniques now that allow that. Companies such as Spary-Net (there are also other such companies) that can do that if you don't want to do it yourself (inquire about how to do it and what products to use). Taking that into consoderation, I show a greige for the stone which will be an even colour once spray painted but it will have a nice texture. I've suggested SW Functional Grey for the 2 doors, garage door, and trim paired with SW Pure White. You can look at the suggestion for ciment walkway paint. I show a new black railing, new front door black sconce, and if possible, install 2 black sconces on each side of the garage door for more detail....See MoreExterior trim colors for red brick house
Comments (8)Is your roof as blue as it looks in the pic ? Not a fan of #3 - better would be windows/doors dark, trim/porch midtone or light (but not stark white). Dark colors recede, lighter colors come forward. I know its partly the lighting, but the entire front of that house is a black hole, not very welcoming. ETA - just read that your windows are new and white. Its too bad that stock window colors have to drive a color scheme on a house, but it is what it is. So you have three colors - brick red, white windows , gray (blue gray?) roof. I always like to keep things simple - get rid of the yellow (ie cream) and stick to 3 colors. Shutters /garage and other doors could become a grayer/ darker version of roof color, and switch the cream to a white that is not as bright as the window white, but still relates well to it. Maybe the siding on the back could be same or slightly lighter gray as shutters/doors. The back would have a different feel from the front, but thats OK....See MoreJill T
