I'm sorry, Gellchom. You are so sweet to ask. I started a new thread "Update on Anna" since this one was getting quite lengthy. She got the results from the Pet scan on Wednesday of this week. It showed a spot on her spine that could possibly be the result of an old injury, which she doesn't remember having, but at any rate they are going to do an MRI on April 2nd. She will see the oncologist on April 17th and learn the results then. I'm hanging on to the thought that she fell down a complete flight of stairs at home a few years ago and hit the wall in front of her with her left foot. Tore her heel all to pieces and she has a brass plate and screws in it. She was off work for several weeks. Nothing was said about a back injury at the time, but????? I have not mentioned this to her. False hope is not a good thing, I'm afraid. Thanks again. jude

It's so very sad to loose a child, in any situation. I pray for her but I really don't know how one deals with this. I was thinking yesterday that I wish I had asked my mother about how she dealt with the death of my sister (16 years old). Of course I was there, but at the time I wasn't focused on my mom, it was about me dealing with it.

A couple of years back our dog was stiff and sore to the point where he couldn't even shake his head. His neck was obviously sore, and we assumed that he had strained or sprained something. Our vet noted that his teeth were plaque-covered, and his gums were slightly inflamed, and said that bacteria from the teeth could get into the bloodstream and cause inflammation and pain elsewhere after a round of antibiotics and pain relievers he was feeling better, and we took him to a friend who was a animal dental specialist who did a thorough cleaning, but he said that some of his teeth were bad enough that they needed to be pulled. After that our dog seemed better and back to his usual happy self for a couple more years. I have no idea whether this could be that case for your little guy, but your description sounds similar. Good luck, I hope he feels better.

I understand about hearing Stage 4 and I was praying for a better diagnosis...I know you were, too, and must be feeling pretty devastated right now.
