Why are you changing the color? It seems to harmonize well with the floor, at least on my screen. (Can't expand the real estate photos to get a better look.) With so little light the warm beige works. Gray in a basement with little light is going to be depressing.

Please do not apologize for all the posts parker_31! They are so helpful!!! Of the paint samples I tried on poster board, we like SW Oyster Bay and Magnetic Gray the best --- but I'm not sure if either are exactly right. I see what you, raee_gw zone 5b-6a Ohio, are saying about the trim not necessarily being white because it's not very prominent. However, that is one thing we originally thought made our house more interesting :) since we don't have brick or stone. If we go with a more monotone scheme, I definitely like going lighter with trim... Oh man, all these suggestions are great! Still think I might keep the white triangle which is a big switch for me (I just don't know!) :)

I think I'm better at looking at colors after they're on than before! I think your garage looks fine, but it depends on what you want to highlight. If you paint it dark, you'll be calling attention to it - your garage will be the first thing people see when they look at your house. If that's what you want, go for it - but I think the turret is the highlight and I wouldn't want to detract from that. Also consider which way it's facing - if it's south the sun will beat it up if it's a dark color and you'll probably need to paint it every few years. You could also try painting it the same as the rest of the house? That's a little tougher since there's no trim but it could work. BTW I think the color you painted is much better than the old, so don't stress.

Thank you! Any thoughts on a color for my front porch furniture? Keep everything (rocker, chairs, side table and swing) a natural wood tone or something lighter to brighten things up? I know that is probably a lot for the porch but out here in the country we actually use all of that furniture. We alternate between the front porch and the screened porch and wrap-around deck on the back of the house. We will be painting the front porch ceiling and the ceiling of the screened porch if I can come up with a color. If I paint the front door Hale Navy what would be a good ceiling color for the porches?
