laundry room with no vent

Y G

Hi,

I hired a design&build firm to convert a bedroom on the second floor into a bathroom and laundry room on the second floor .

I just discovered the laundry room has no vent (that AC /heat would come out of). It just has these 2 large air transfer grills (is that the name?) into the hall, conveniently carrying the noise of the washer /dryer into the hall.

The Laundry room will have some counter space and a seat, so some potential work space.

We are in the summer and it gets hot in there. I'm shocked, I feel like this is something I'd expect in a third world country. We paid this fancy design and build firm over $75k.

Please let me know your thoughts.
