I have always thought Darius deserves more attention than he gets, a nice dependable daylily. It is rather a cat enabling forum, isn't it, Christine? I have to say, most of my cats have found me. Miss Grumpy above (one of the nicer names we call her :) came into our yard as a kitten. Roady's unfortunate full name is Roadkill-I stopped in the middle of a 4 lane road in morning traffic to grab him by the tail before he ran into traffic. He was crouched on the yellow stripe. The 13 year old that died last spring was a parking lot kitten that came home with me. I've been thinking I need another kitten, but I don't really want a new cat to stress the old one. She had a stroke last year, recovered much better than I expected, but still a bit wobbly.

mantis: I can only assume the lack of water and perhaps the late snowstorm and hard freezes we had this spring set SS back. It was doing so good when we had the spring warm up and then downhill. It is one of the ones I plan to move to the back garden. Linda: I'm willing to sweat a bit to get the pounds off from all the ice cream I've been eating the past month LOL. nat4b: I usually will get about 12 - 15 buds per scape on LOTW here. I still like this one even with the bad budcount this year. Ellie and Chris: Thanks for the comments. I took the photos of the one garden section last Thursday. Now, only a few blooms remain as of today. Sorry site for sure but makes it much easier to start moving plants. Julia

Val - Keep On Truckin is registered at 30 inches. I have it growing in a pot, and the scapes are only about 22 inches. I imagine they would be much taller if the the plant were in the ground and settled in a bit. Mantis - You are right. That is We Are the Champions. I have a bad sinus infection and my brain must not be working quite right. I don't think its flower fits a form. But I like it in all its incarnations. By the way, I got much better bud count on it the second year and much taller scapes.

So many pretties blooming! Love the colors of Nouveau Riche and Coral Majority. Desire of Nations is beautiful! I also like Seal of Approval, Jubilee Ball and Fairest of Them.
