New House looks like a cave...Please help w exterior paint color?
Comments (3)A lighter color would look nice. I would try to match the stone work in front, or at least doesn't clash with it..Color??I went with a beige, isn't everybody. One color I was leaning towards was graige (not sure of the spelling Sherwin Williams carries it), a cross between gray and beige....See MoreNew opinions on exterior color please

Comments (8)What a tough thing to do-- choosing everything before you have begun. First, I really like everything that you have chosen. They all are very pretty in their own right. In fact, I think that Tony Taupe is a particularly pretty exterior color. That being said, I wonder if the Tony Taupe doesn't have a lot more undertones of green, rather than the more red undertones of the stone. It is really hard to tell given the small samples and the variations on computer monitors, but that would be my only concern. Does your builder have a list of people who have that stone on their houses? If not, does the stone supplier have such a list. It may be a little crazy, but maybe you could paint some big posterboard (s) and put it next to the rock that has already been put up. I always think posterboards and quarts are worth it....See MoreNew Rug - Need Your Opinions Please
Comments (88)Thank you for looking for me, Turquoise, I really appreciate that. When I asked my husband's opinion he looked at it and said "It's a rug". Okay....After that I read the reviews and quite a few people said the main color is not rust but rather a cranberry or burgundy red, and there were also complaints about the rug fraying and the loops pulling up. It's cheaper than the rug we're getting, and they've apparently lowered the price quite a bit, perhaps because of the quality issues. I simply cannot return a FOURTH rug, so we're going to have to like it. When I compare this rug to the photo of the one we had, that one looks all too red, and I'm really hoping the one I'm waiting for is more muted. We shall see........See MoreCoffee Dude
