Here are some whites, off-whites, and pale gray that might work.

Noussaon offered some nice colors. Colors outside always look lighter than inside. So narrow choices and get samples from samplize.com

I just painted my whole house inside with SW Alabaster. It is beautiful and not bright white just a tad soft and yet still white. Here is our great room facing south.

Good choices mentioned above. The only thing I have to add is to google some exterior house photos with the names of those paints and see what looks good to you. True whites may be too stark for your taste, so going with a creamier color may be what you are looking for--and may be just right outside where everything is going to look lighter and brighter than it will inside. I like the black shutters.

I think Alabaster is a good choice but IMO the shutters are too small so i would either leave them off or get bigger ones and I would not do them at all on the main level.

hi Maureen, thank you for this photo. I have been looking at plenty of inspiration photos and know that I want the house more off-white than white. Just unsure which paint color is going to give me that look best, especially knowing white paint looks different in different lights. I really like the photo you shared. Is the door Boothbay gray? We just painted our office Boothbay gray, and it's really pretty. For the garage, we currently have it white. I don't see why we couldn't leave it white. I've seen many white homes with white garages :)

We've used Swiss Coffee (Ben Moore) outside with great results. As mentioned, it's true colors will look much lighter outside.
